Just a little something I threw together after talking with some folks on r/SCP a few days ago. Definitely one of my quicker projects compared to my other SCPs but I’m quite satisfied with how this one came out!

Gigantic thanks to u/LongIslandBall who gave me the idea that would become this SCP and to Laneous, Grigori Karpin, and Kybard for their helpful critique during the creation of this article!

The imagery here is somewhat evocative, but I don't think it's enough to support an article, and the bit of HTML at the end didn't feel like a particularly impactful punchline to me. -1.

I think the imagery is enough to support an article - I like the idea of some otherworldly being that plucks people from earth to the afterlife, but disguises itself as something mundane (is it doing this to be polite? To be deceitful? - some interesting questions are raised by this).

Unfortunately the main thrust of the article is not interesting. With the theme of the 13 minute early prediction and the 'twist' at the end it blurs into 100000 other creepypastas which tell the reader they are about to die. It also doesn't help I can't read half the html box on mobile.

-1 for the twist. I'm not sure exactly what would be needed to make this great/+1, for me, but if it was just the crane thing on its own I would probably have novoted.

Understandable, I got mixed reviews on the HTML part during the critiquing period so I was already on the fence over if I was going to keep it or not. Sounds like people aren't really a fan though, so I can at least learn from this.

Honestly I think the most important thing about this SCP is that it's a few years too late. It's nicely written, and would fit in well with a lot of the more harmless Series I articles, but at this point "it's made of people!" is kind of overdone even if it works.

Which is a shame, because there isn't actually anything WRONG with it.

Absolutely amazing. The thought of this crane acting as an angel that takes people to the after life is crazy. The part with the SRA's left me wanting more and imagining crazy scenarios as to what the rest might look like.
