Saito-san, who has a preoccupation with another time, a time of childhood, a time of growing up, a time of street games.
A few notes about this tale.
- In SCP-2117, the epilogue mentions the Black Rabbit Company sets up shop in Yumegemu. They were originally going to make a cameo in this tale, in the form of Saito trying to use Mochi from the Black Rabbit Mochi Shop to cure his wounds. It wouldn't have gone well, and was too video game tropey for me.
- Originally created by
HotCocoaNerd, Yumegemu is one of the original Nexuses featured on the Nexus series back in 2015. it was also one of the first Nexuses I planned to use in BA3, back when I wrote the finale of Rise of the Pit Sloth. It was originally called "Game Over", before I realized the concept of Bad Endings in Japanese horror games would make up the core of the tale.
- I was originally going to have Pyramid Head in this. Then I realize that Silent Hill's developers had already run that character into the ground. FucKonami am I right?
- Yes I did base the ending off of the dog ending from Silent Hill 2— better known as the one canon ending. Feel free to imagine Dogsong playing while you read it.
