I've heard people complain about ridiculous and absurd things that their parents have said or done to them a good amount. I wanted to take that sentiment and put it into a skip. I hope you enjoy this take on helicopter parenting.

God this is fucking superb characterization of the stereotypical helicopter mom. Never an easier +1 in my life.

E: Seconding Niles in that this did honestly tie my stomach in knots in that way that only parental anxiety can.

The changes you've made since the draft phase helps this piece flow a lot better. It still hiccups here and there, but you've captured overbearing, obsessive, and abusive tenancies well within these characters. Well done. +1

I enjoy this skip but the foundation would never ever deem containment unnecessary for an anomalous object.

It's not that the Foundation isn't doing any sort of containment here. They're trying to indirectly ensure that more cellphones don't manifest. They just decided that it wasn't worth their time to lock Heather up or something more drastic like that.
