Glad to see this finished and in action. It's been a trip!
When can we expect to start seeing updates on the currently existing pages to match this?
This isn't official whatsoever, this is something people can add to their articles if they want to. This will never be added to an article unless an author wants to use it.
I hope they do, while the plain format is part of the charm, these images are not not only aesthetically pleasing, they're informative and are a bit more in-depth than just sorting them under "Keter, Euclid or Safe".
Some Keters are only a danger to anyone unlucky enough to be immediately close by, and otherwise have a rather limited impact, while some Euclid SCPs would have world ending consequences if they're not controlled.
Ease of containment does not translate to importance of containment, and having a symbol to quickly show that is a good idea.

Ease of containment is reflected in the containment procedures for the SCP article, the importance of containment is reflected in the rest of the document. I know the symbols are supposed to be an in-universe way of quickly showing that/out-of-universe flavor thing, but the SCP article format itself conveys all this information through its text. That's how the format works. So I don't quite think I agree with this point.
You're right that the article itself conveys most of the information, but a picture is a worth a thousand words, right? There's thousands of SCPs at this point, out-of-universe symbols to facilitate ease of understanding are useful.
The old format still works and in cases of those like SCP-1048, they're essential to the story, but just having the option of these symbols is useful for clarity.
I couldn't find any info on some of the secondary class options, is that just me being blind?
Same here I would really like to know about those not that I’m going to be using them myself but I think it would be nice to know what it means for something to be Tiamat if I see it. I remember when I first saw thaumiel but I still don’t know what it means to be a thaumiel class SCP so if we could get an explanation on those that would be wonderful.
So I didn't know what else to put here so I put a favorite quote, "Who wants to become a writer? And why? Because it’s the answer to everything. … It’s the streaming reason for living. To note, to pin down, to build up, to create, to be astonished at nothing, to cherish the oddities, to let nothing go down the drain, to make something, to make a great flower out of life, even if it’s a cactus."
I can’t see this being very versatile at all. It’s just harder to pace an article when you have a massive infodump at the beginning. It makes it super hard for an author to understand what’s going through a reader’s head with this. You have to think about the fact that people who understand the system in its entirety will be reading along with casual readers who don’t know what any of the terms mean.
Some will be going into the special containment procedures and description already knowing all of this background information, while others will have next to none.
This format makes it very difficult to have control over the information readers have as they go, which is a very important thing to have control over.

I see literally the exact opposite of that. This allows the author to give the reader more information from the get-go. Plus, something being difficult to use does not make it inherently bad.
I honestly fail to see what you are seeing here.
Anyone who hasn’t read the guides isn’t going to know what most of the terms mean. And I doubt most people would go out to read the guides rather than just go onto the rest of the article.

Well, I won't argue against this. I do not think you are necessarily wrong. But I also don't think the general apathy of some readers should stop us from trying new things. If readers find it interesting then I hope they will feel comfortable with taking the time to better understand it (much like they have with Object Classes.)
I sort of wandered in after looking through an article that used these symbols, and while I sort of agree, the information I got from them intuitively was enough.
"Disruption Class" and the "eye" symbol give a good understanding that this may affect the Masquerade, if a reader knows anything about the Foundation working in secret.
Risk class and "warning, danger, critical" are also pretty direct.
If all else fails, the colour gradient from green (good) to red (bad) is enough, since even a kid can understand a statistics map with that.
This is way wayyyy to clunky and loud. I like the idea but it really needs a redesign on at least the icons.
This is currently missing examples of all the disruption class symbols.
This is not working on my sandbox site. Im 100% sure my code is right, but it just appears as text.
Similar issue, but nothing is showing up at all for me. Does it only work on the wiki?
As far as I am aware, it should work on any wikidot site as long as you copy the code exactly.
Is there some special way you have to input the code? I'm having the same issue
That might be helpful
Looking to make a custom secondary class logo for the esoteric class Simpatico. I've already created the logo, I'm just having trouble getting the image to show in the spots where the secondary object class appears. If anyone knows how to help, please reply. I've included the link to the icon.

Oh nice! This is awesome :D
Thank you so much for doing this. I had considered trying to set this up myself but I hadn't been able to get around to it. Too much to do! Too many video games to play.
I hope other branches can join in and translate as well!
i also found you can put a class before esoteric and it kinda looks cool
