I like it, you've written some neat stuff, and I dunno why but Japanese script on any article always looks so beautiful for some reason. :)

Thank you for the compliments. However, I must highlight that they are Chinese characters I've written in (I'm not sure if those characters exist in Japanese kanji).

Wow… I just realized why are these three avatar names intentional.

Spoilers?

The motto of the SCP Foundation is Secure, Contain, Protect. On SCP-CN, we translated it into 控制, 收容, 保护. (kòng zhì, shōu róng, bǎo hù)

However, Secure can be more directly translated into an adjective, 安全 (ān quán), and Contain can be more directly translated into 遏制 (è zhì).

And now we have more straightforward version of the Chinese translation of the Foundation motto, which is 安全, 遏制, 保护. (SCP-CN did not adopt this one because 安全 is an adjective and adjectives are weak, and 遏制 is a lot more convoluted to use than 收容)

Now once you compare that to the names, you'll realize something interesting:

Dr. Hu An (胡安) 安全
Jr. Researcher Hu Zhi (胡制) 遏制
Agent Hu Bao (胡保) 保护

Now, that isn't exactly perfect, but what you have here is basically a set of names that embodied the Foundation motto.

I admit I did not browse through the Chinese site, and I had translated "Secure, Contain and Protect" separately. Thank you for the trivia on the Chinese site, of course. I guess I should brush up on my Chinese to read the entries from that site.

While it may see odd or quirky to name your kids after a motto, to name one's child after virtues is typical of Chinese naming conventions and their father is stated to be a Foundation researcher himself.

Umm……So Dr. Hu Cuo's name in Chinese character is 胡措，short of 特殊收容措施(Special Containment Procedures)?

For 'Cuo', I didn't think too in-depth about the Chinese character for it. I originally put in a random Chinese name, which ultimately felt out of place. In the end, I chose to use 'Cuo' as a reference to 'Wrong' (my username).
