Alright, more author post can happen. This article came about because Uncle Nicolini and I were joking about me turning into a teddy bear, which became "what if there were teddy bears that could hug you back", which became "what if the Make-a-Wish Foundation gave teddy bears that you could use to hug a child from a distance to the family", which became… this. Eheheh. There's actually quite a lot going under the hood here, which will probably be touched upon in tales in the future (ones involving the Wonderful World canon's Little Misters). I'm happy to have collabed with Uncle Nicolini on this one, it was fun and adds to Cornelius's era, which is the era in Wonderful World that I feel needs the most development right now.

One day I'm going to write an SCP about something that seems to help out children. All throughout the SCP I'll imply that something sinister is going on, and then at the end it will turn out that it really is completely benevolent like a smaller scale version of the Apollyon Lamp!

No, what is implied is his soul was linked to the bear, so the parents could remotely hug their child…but it drastically reduces their lifespan, hence why the current Dr WOndertainment discontinued the line. Even if the children are terminally ill, a guaranteed death sentence in 3 weeks removes any hope, which is drastically against the Wondertainment brand of trying to spread whimsy.

Possible mistake: the interview section starts with "Addendum 5/12/1988", but then ends with "expired on 3/19/1996".

Eight years is much longer than the three weeks mentioned in the description.

I think there's a typo at the beginning of the Interview log. The agent is listed as Macintosh Iversen, but her name is Damascus in the transcript.

I've always dreamed of having a teddy bear that can send/receive long-distance hugs; it's a shame that something so lovable has a tragic twist! Well-written documentation though; here's a non-anomalous hug to go with my upvote. 🫂

I'm not a smart person..but at first it seemed like a Sentient bear made sick kids feel better…then the soul Snatching…I was happy…then sad..then confused..then sad?
