The best part about this for me is the oddity of it, and its relative innocence as an SCP. Just a cute little orbital trash collector! The audio files are also pretty adorkable, because they're so self-indulgent and don't really need to be in the article, but "mom" and "dad" are clearly AWARE that they're self-indulgent, which makes it an adorkably parental thing to do.
I think it could use a bit more polish on the description section — there's a lot of "it does this," "it does that," that doesn't sound particularly scientific and could use some shortening. Nothing egregious and probably just a taste thing for me.
Strangely, the final spliced audio showing the SCP-4954's sentience is the piece that doesn't really sell for me, despite how much I loved SCP-2886 doing similar things with spliced audio. It's a nice poem, but doesn't feel like an emerging or alien consciousness wrote it, which kills the suspension of disbelief for me. Rather than deepening the mystery or introducing a new wrinkle to the plot, however minor, this approach ties the whole article off with a neat little bow and doesn't make me think any further about it.
My suggestion would be to review that final poem and compare to the final sections of 079, 1000, and 2886 — those are my favorite examples of how other minds attempt to communicate with humans. This version feels a little too contrived in comparison.
Good luck, space roomba.
