This is a thread for announcements re: articles that were deleted entirely, and for what reason.

There are no hard and fast rules for this, so I'm going to make the following suggestion: At least three mods must agree to delete an article, and the subject may only be brought up if the article's response is purely negative, and if it has been on the site for less than one week.

Also, a short description of the deleted SCP article would be nice: just one sentence is fine. That way, we'll know what article was deleted: with everything referred to by numbers, it gets a bit confusing.

That said, here is the first deletion: SCP-702, the Chronomancer, is now deleted for a completely negative response. Author gave permission to delete the article, and at least three mods agreed in chat to delete.

Dr Laugher's member page is now also deleted. Given that he was kickbanned from the site, I don't know why we should keep it.

SCP-665, the Demon with Insanity Causing Eyes, was deleted. Reason given: lack of interest, largely negative response.

Suggestion for rewrite: interpret traditional mythology less literally, and give it the "SCP edge./" Examples include: SCP-076 (Abel), SCP-352 (Baba Yaga)

Abel? I don't know if you could get further away from the source material than Abel…

SCP-073, on the other hand, should probably at least have the "leaves permanently dead areas behind him" aspect trimmed down, as anyone who's been around as long as he has should probably have killed off all plant life on the planet by now.

Well he spent a good deal of time in the desert, but I do agree that permanently dead might be a bit excessive, especially since there'd be large swatches of dead stuff trailing him whenever they transported him anywhere.

Oh, I thought you meant 076 and 352 were examples in need of further removal from the source material.

Nifar: According to his page, 073 was apprehended in New York. As far as I am aware, there are still trees in New York. Barely, maybe, but they're there…
