I've read many SCPs. Many ones instilling cosmic fear, transhuman dread, divine malevolence. Yet…they didn't really scare me. I never truly thought "Oh no." I never was really spooked by it. This isn't an insult to their writing ability or me trying to brag about not getting scared- it's just it seemed too out there. I know there isn't an unstoppable god just waiting to break out of a door and destroy us, I know there isn't a stairwell with a disembodied head floating through it, I know there isn't a box from the future with unimaginable horror within.
But this? This was honestly, entirely, disturbingly close. I was honestly afraid when I read the last message, him describing the amnestics now being distributed through the ventilation, that was scary.
