What better to kick off the summer than some summer camp memories?

I'd like to thank Rounder for letting me jump on this draft with him so we can sink it in the middle of the eastern Atlantic.

I'd also like to thank everyone who looked this over, but I don't have that list of people so I'll just hope rounder puts that and the image credits in his post.

once again, i find myself digging kirby out of a hole, except this time the hole is an image licensing violation.

I still miss the title Summertime Fling, but then again The Water's Warm makes more sense. Then again, the water at the bottom of the lake probably isn't that warm.

This has greatly improved from the draft I looked at before— and it was already great then! That final note is pretty darn chilling. +1, I'm happy to see more Class of 76 stuff up on the wiki!

I like it, I don't think it's as horrifying as other co76 entries but it's got a unique flair with the smoke campers and it makes me wonder if SCP-3776 and this had any intramural scrimmages or whatever. I don't know how athletics works. But this works, so I'mma upvote it.

Co76 horror has always been something I've found really interesting, yet really hard to replicate. It tends to walk a fine line between horror and pathos, generally straying into more the realm of horror by leaving more things unexplained. But here I guess we opted for a more comprehensible story, and that's why it feels a little different from other Co76 works. At least that's my guess.

I am happy to say this is a spectacular ending compared to the previous drafts I looked at. Excellent use of nostalgia and the interactions were damn accurate +1. Sad my accidental self insert has less of a role now though ;)

Well, that certainly took an unexpected turn. I wonder if Cindy did ever exist.

There's a couple things here that might be typos.

The other humanoids hover overtop of the lake.

on top of the lake?

D-4314: We… we hung around on the pier about.

Not sure what the "about" is there for.

I feel like the last note/pamphlet is a tad too on the nose, but overall, the piece is really well put together, and it has that nice unsettling energy of other '76 articles. The logs are definitely the meat of the piece; really liked the bits with the D-class speaking to the shadow entities.

Overall, yeah, it's a solid piece. +1

Pamphlet was great though I get the feeling some readers would want "more" overall from it. I'm fine with it like that. The Don't answer knocks at cabin door is worded in a kind of way that makes it sound needlessly creepy and horror movie-esque and it takes a bit before you realize you probably shouldn't be answering knocks at cabin doors especially in a public park area in the 70s, just a cover your ass type rule without sinister implications beyond trying to prevent lawsuits
