Hello Everyone! I'm Modern_Erasmus and I'mlooking for members interested in joining the Internet Outreach team as Junior Staff.

Responsibilities:

• Moderate one or more official SCP social media accounts.
• Serve as link between off-site fans and the wiki.
• Report to me on goings on, and relay public statements I give you.
• Join and stay active in the private IO discord for communication and planning purposes.
• Keep an even and professional temperament- when in this role you are never speaking for yourself, but for the wiki.

What You Get In Return:

• After ~2-3 months on the team, I am able to nominate you for promotion to fully Operational Staff (which occurs every 4 months). (Note: If I choose not to nominate you, and you're curious why, I will be completely open with you about it.)
• An experience of staff ongoings, such as policy discussion and other staff shenaningans.
• The ability to post to the staff site. You won't be responsible for voting or anything but can give your view on policies relevant to IO.
• The satisfaction of connecting the various parts of our fanbase together.
• No pressure- if it's not for you, there's nothing forcing you to keep at it.

Hi ! My name is MrJacketBarths and I'm interested for joining the Internet Outreach Team. And here's my reasons of why I want to join the team.

That makes nearly 2 years that I'm a part of the SCP community, in the French Branch and, more recently, in the Main. And I became, every day, more and more interested by this universe that I love to promote to my friends and people who know me. I want to became Junior Staff for use my previous experience as Staff member (in non-SCP projects) and gain more experience, help the site.

The Internet Outreach Team interest me, because I feel there's a team that suits me pretty perfectly and because promotion in social medias is a thing that I can do without difficulties.

I'm super active on the site, I check the recent posts many times per day, even on the staff site. And I'm also really active on social medias.

I make moderation work, especially on Discord servers, since more than a year and using social media accounts since two years. Personally, I use Facebook, Twitter & Discord and I make attempts to use IRC.

And… I think that's all ! My English is pretty rusty, but I try to make that better and I'm really motivated for working with you and all the other members of IO. If you want to know me more, Discord and Wikidot PM are open !

Hello, I see your response just now, so here's a little reply. In short, to better explain, yes, my English is probably not the best but he's totally not the worse, I can read and understand English pretty well.

It's probably a "no" for you and I understand perfectly. Maybe next time. ^^

Hello, it is me, plaguebearer, yeah yeah yeah

I don’t have any particular reason for wanting to be junior staff aside from the canned one, which is that I really like this community and I want to help it become the best it can be. Internet Outreach has been one of my interests since I found out about the staff jobs, as i’m on at least one social media platform 24/7. So why not just focus that into something useful?

I’m active 90% of day because I’m a shut-in monster who likes talking to internet strangers. I can easily refocus some of that energy into official SCP social media, should I be promoted to Jstaff. I’ve run several social medias before, like 3 of them have been character profiles or parody accounts, so i’d like to think I can ‘get inside’ what the account needs, and when or when not to be a sassy brand account. I’m mostly active on Discord, Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit.

(Extra Warning: not a fan of IRC)

I believe I should be a Junior Staff Member of the Internet Outreach Team as I have a lot of knowledge about social media platforms and how to navigate them. I also know a lot about the Roblox SCP Roleplaying Communities which I believe would contribute greatly to me being a member of this team. I chose the Internet Outreach Team because personally, out of all the staff teams on the SCP Wikidot I see this one as my favorite.

How active are you?
I am online daily, reading about Task Forces, Departments, Tales, SCP's, and Groups of Interest. I have learned a lot about the SCP Foundation through this and still hope to learn more.

How much experience do you have with moderating or using social media accounts, and what social medias do you personally use?
Moderating: I have lots of moderation experienced, gained through three years in the Roblox SCP Communities where I have climbed through the ranks to staff positions, which have taught me a lot of things. Social Media: I use Youtube, Twitch, Roblox, Reddit, and Discord, my Discord Username and Tag are voided#0002 .

Since I joined the SCP wiki, I've tried to improve myself enough to help others. I've recently gotten a lot of confidence and experience from uploading a number of scps and a tale, getting an author page… it's been wild. I think I'm finally at the level where my understanding of SCP as a whole is enough to be a moderator. As for Internet Outreach, I want to help others have the "realization" I had a few months ago, which is that scp isn't an exclusive community. Sure, it's not easy to become a successful author, but to communicate with authors, get help, crit, etc… is much more accessable than people think.

How active are you?

There hasn't been a day in 2 months that I haven't been on the SCP wiki and SCPD discord. I plan on continuing this, especially if I get the role of staff. My timezone is EST and I am currently active for about 12-16 hours a day.

How much experience do you have with moderating or using social media accounts, and what social medias do you personally use?

I am the head moderator for a famous¹ youtuber on discord, and got that position through being a moderator for a smaller² youtuber, and being a moderator for the official minecraft maps discord server. I am active on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and of course, Discord (My User is @Henzoid#3737).

While I may not have been on this site for a relatively long period of time (2 years), I feel that I've gained an excellent understanding to the point where I can help out those less experienced. As why to the Internet Outreach team, I like seeing fresh minds joining the site with their new ideas, and I'm interested in helping that happen, as everyone gains from new people joining.

How active are you?

Just about everyday, for a minimum of about six to eight hours, usually more. I'm on Pacific Standard Time, just to clarify. You can reach me by the IRC chat, almost always active. I'm also active on the SCPDeclassified Discord.

How much experience do you have with moderating or using social media accounts, and what social medias do you personally use?

I have a personal Facebook, Instagram and Twitter account that I use, and I also have experience managing my college newspaper's Facebook Page and Twitter account. I'm active on Reddit as well. I have to admit Tumblr is something I lack experience in, but I'm always willing to learn.

EDIT: Added a little about IRC and discord. And Reddit.
