Why the specifications on which materials the pedestals can be made of? Past experience, or something more mysterious? Either way, it should be mentioned somewhere in the description.
This entry also left me indescribably sad in a strange way.

Yeah, have been pretty damn busy lately, no free time. Damn real life :(
Anyway, I'm not the original author. I'm only first in the history because I transferred it over from the old site. I have no idea who the original author is or was.
that's what I keep saying! but no one believes me ;-;
I did enjoy portions of this, but it also needs an editorial eye. Some of the extensive logs are unclear, or otherwise have jarring errors.
Do you mind if I have a run through?
You are right, and after making a quick research I found this gloss units are actually used to measure reflective surfaces, apparently a mirror would give around 2000 gloss units at a 20° angle of its surface, the device used to get this measurement is called "gloss meter" so the author if he seems fit, could rephrase "it will seek out the nearest mirror-like surface." to "it will seek the nearest surface to measure 2000 GU at a 20° angle" or something along those lines, I don't think is a change that is necessary, as it would probably also need a bit of clarification prior to that sentence, like saying it can only be contained on a surface that measure that quantity or similar quantity of gloss units, as I said this is not really necessary, but it would make it look a little more scientific.
This actually isn't a bad idea. I have no problem with the article as it is, but the whole "it seeks out a mirror" thing came across as a little inappropriate for SCP material to me. That's more what you would expect from a supernatural film or something.
While editing, I saw that a couple of paragraphs aren't being displayed because of some formatting typoes. I considered fixing it to show the entire old document, but it made the article pretty long. But the hidden paragraphs have some important info.
Here, I'll make a second edit to finish fixing the original document. If it turns out to be too long, feel free to revert that last edit.
I appreciate any and all work done to polish 093, it was I think my second article ever and by far my best. I make absolutely no claim to being a perfect writer, and can always benefit from an editorial follow-up.
Thanks for finding stuff my formatting snafus may have hid. :3
Man, you know what I love about this one? How it hits you. You're reading along, it's a red disk that likes mirrors, this is boring, why is it rated this high.
Then you read the log about how it takes people into the mirrors.
Then you read the necessary supply list.
Then you look at the field tests and shit gets real.
agreed, this is one of the best SCPs IMO simply because of the whole creepiness of the situation
It's like high-science Silent Hill, and I respect that.
I'm agreeing with this. Now, when are the tests on one of the recovered bullets going to happen? Because we all know somebody is bound to attempt taking one apart.
V, get yer happy ass in the chat, if yer gonna hang around.

Exactly why I love it. I was thinking "what the hell" at first, then as I was reading it and the story became clear I fell in love with it. This SCP is masterful storytelling.
I will not stand for the hyphen-genocide which is evident in the page history, Ghost.
You know, that probably would have been more poignant in the edit description box, son.
Unless you're calling me out, in which case we can have a knife fight under the bridge downtown on Tuesday, ya greasy shark.
