Thanks to Photo and Roth for letting me use their characters, and to Moose for extensive concrit.
I wanted so badly to dislike this, but you give Iris and Adams too much awesome characterization and humanity to dislike this. (Though now I wanna figure out how to shove my girl in this series… :3)
Iris tales are so common at this point that it literally makes me groan every time her name comes up.
That being said, the writing, from a technical standpoint, is alright. The story, however, is pretty uninteresting to me, and I'm pretty sure I know where it's going. Perhaps it's because I'm a shut-in who never does anything fun, but alas, I'm not going to like reading about a girl's night out, even if she is an SCP.
TL;DR: Boring character, boring tale.

I'm not particularly interested most of the story, but I am glad you brought up Agent A.A. and Beatrix Maddox. Its good to see world building with old characters.
E: and good job on the way you introduced the joke SCPs.
The characterization is good, and you made a valiant effort to justify an SCP being allowed to freely interact with the outside world, but I really can't see a humanoid SCP, under any circumstances, being allowed to be drinking, especially when the person that's supposed to be guarding it is also presumably going to be drinking as well. It's good, but that last detail is a bit of a deal-breaker. No vote.
It's from Iris' POV — she wouldn't be aware of everything the Foundation has in place. And if they're doing their job right, she won't be.
(That doesn't invalidate your critique, btw. Having it not stated in the story can still be an issue.)
This provides some characterization that Iris and Adams both needed, and it was pretty fun to read through. And thanks for finally getting me to read the personal log of AA, I'd been avoiding that for some reason.
if your reading this your gay
"Hey, no problem." The older man gave her a friendly smile. "Just glad to see someone out there still appreciates the classics, you know?"
That's a little on the nose, don't you think?
That being said, this tale was alright. I don't think it's really my thing, but I really dug the references to Andrews and Maddox. I always had a soft spot for the personal log of AA and the sequel series with SCP-784-ARC, and I'm really excited that they're getting referenced again, even if it's only for mentions and flashbacks.
Just glad to see someone out there still appreciates the classics, you know?
Man, if there were a reason for Resurrection to exist, it's having a tale about life as a humanoid skip without being a tale angsting over being a humanoid skip.
"I wasn't afraid that Able would kill me. I was afraid I'd be the one that he'd keep alive to see it happen."
This and the Pretty Woman line are fantastic. I was actually starting to wish she would just get over Omega-7 already, but this line drives home just how traumatic it was for her.
I kind of have to wonder if Able's not going to make an appearance sometime later in this series. It'd be a shame to keep bringing him up and not give him any screen time.
I get the feeling that one of the upcoming stories will be Alpha-9 responding to an Able Containment Breach…
