Fixed up version of The Lost Child. Hopefully it's a little better now.
Upvote for the idea, even if description could be improved.
Something to address regarding the SCP.
It is to be accompanied by at least one attendant versed in sign language and translation etiquette and usage. SCP-2118 is not to be allowed verbal access to D-class personnel except within approved testing parameters.
Won't one of the prerequisites for the attendant is that he/she cannot not a parent with a deceased child? After all, its anomalous effect is evoked in the presence of a parent. Furthermore, I think you won't want any personnel who is a parent near SCP-2118, unless for experiments (more than just merely D-class personnel).
Overall, I do see improvements from the previous iteration and I do feel somewhat unhinged from the interviews.
But that could use improvement too. Never had children and is versed in sign language and translation etiquette and usage would work better.
This doesn't hit the right notes for me and seems rather ham-fisted into trying to produce an emotional response. It just doesn't do that for me and hence, I believe it fails at achieving this main objective for the majority of the audience as well.
Ideas like this should be subtle, graceful, and evocative. This is none of that. It's instead very forceful in what it's trying to accomplish. An OK concept with an execution that takes off running and leaves you behind.
-1
I'll +1 it because it's a neat idea. But I thought sentient objects are automatically classified as Euclid?
Eh, that's not something that's written in stone.
I've seen a lot of Safe humanoids with a similar level of intelligence. SCP-1799 comes to mind.
Honestly, I thought the safe class on that one was a little lax.
One guy cracked his skull open because of 1799 and no one can hear him talk without succumbing to his effects. I know that should be in the 1799 discussion page, but my point is that humans generally should be Euclid or higher. Not safe.
Actually, no. If it's easy to contain, it's safe, which SCP-1799 is.

I guess so, but I maintain that all humans should be Euclid on the grounds that one day they might get a "safe" human who was a sleeper agent for a G.O.I or something then when everyone thinks its just a harmless kid or depressed clown it goes nuts with some new power they never knew about and causes a massive containment breach because of its own lax containment procedures due to its safe class. Just saying.
They don't have lax containment procedures; it just doesn't need any more because they studied it and know exactly what it can do.
As a side note: I can only speak for myself here, but it's pretty hard to read your posts, so can you please learn how to use punctuation? It would make it a lot easier to read.

Sorry about that. I do use punctuation, but that one kind of turned into a run on sentence. Again, sorry.
Also, that's my point. The Foundation thinks they know everything these SCP's can do, but eventually one will show up and stay in containment for years without ever causing any problems, then it'll get the signal to unleash some power they never knew it had and tear the site where they have it apart.
That might happen, but it's extremely unlikely. Besides, there are enough SCPs with a ~twist~ that makes it special like that.

…Point taken. It's nice having a reasonable argument with someone who doesn't yell just because for every answer. You're pretty cool Live2Die. This was fun. :)
I think 2118 is classified as Safe because her effect isn't inherently dangerous, except for someone like Anselman, who went out of their way to try and make 2118 into their kid. She's safe because the chances of her straight up seriously injuring and/or killing someone are extremely low.
I agree the description needs some work, but I really like the interviews, not to mention the fact that the girl is (for once) aware of what's happening and distressed by it. That's a very good angle to have on something like this.
