And here's Part 2. This one went through a major rewrite last night to make Florence's character more consistent in later tales, and to foreshadow [DATA EXPUNGED].

Thanks to ARD, tawny, and ch00bakka for crit on this.

Part 3 will be coming out on Monday, Part 4 next Friday. Hub will probably go up sometime after that.

+ Some notes that might be a little spoilery

• Westbrook is not a reliable source of information. Whether Flo actually caused the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald is up in the air.
• There are three different Chekhov's Guns in this. See if you can spot them.
• The date is important.

As usual, Flo is excellent. Especially young asshole Flo. Looking forward to the rest of it. Well, I've already read it all in the sandbox, but I'm looking forward to seeing it go up on the site.

In all seriousness, given that this is a fairly robust dump of exposition, you keep things moving at a good clip, with snappy dialogue and enjoyable characters. Well done. Looking forward to the next piece.

Really love the writing in this piece. Lines like "…his short blond hair looked like it had fought a successful battle against the efforts of a comb" really do it for me. Dialogue was intriguing and makes me super excited for the following installments.

The first one showed off the lush descriptive prose, and this one shows off the dialogue. Manages to keep the interview format fresh, and includes the lines ""That light show you put on last night? We think it's what sank the Edmund Fitzgerald" which made me make a sound out loud. Awesome.

This and the tale that came before it are extremely unique in the fact that they are merely introductions to characters and the setting, but they don't feel like it. Add that to the fantastic prose and some of the best dialogue on-site, and it's an obvious upvote from me.

You know, at some point it's going to look ridiculous that it's Harry, Ralliston, then me commenting on these pieces, but this story had a certain… flow to it.

This is an extremely well done piece of exposition IMO. The stakes for the whole series are laid out, I assume (since I'm not doing this in retrospect), and we get to spend time in Flo's head and how she analyzes others. Really looking forward to what's next.

It's hard to explain, but i really enjoy this type of writing; everything flows together, and the way you describe everything is amazing, really. I don't find many tales like this that are fulfilling and written in such a nice way,
