One of the first tales (that isn't an Open Mic Night entry) for pieiswrong's new GOI, Stacker's Coffeehouse and Bar!

Big thanks to the following peoples:

• Yaitz331 for critique in #thecritters
• pieiswrong for coming up with Stacker's and giving me a bit of info
• EmpressColdSpiritAJ does not match any existing user name for being a beta reader in the SCPD Discord
• Duke of Nothing for their crit in the forums
• AthosNetwork does not match any existing user name for their crit in the SCPD Discord
• And especially RockTeethMothEyes for all their super-helpful crit in #thecritters!

This was very fun to write, I hope Stacker's catches on in the community!

Great job as always Ellie!

Doctor North was here. Just don't let South know, or East….never tell East.

Fun times ahead. Cheers!

Also Remembrance Brew is a type of mnestic. Some ghost is definitely getting drunk off that.

My attention was admittedly caught when I was browsing Recent Posts and saw the very nice listing of credits for reviewers and other supporters. Author, thank you for doing that! It's always good to give credit where it's due.

I enjoyed this read. Doesn't overstay its welcome, and while I'm not 100% certain I know exactly what's happening here, there was a lot of good prose and poetry here. I particularly felt:

"I wish I was a star," he thought, but then again, not really
Of course he'd already decided, he really seemed quite silly

These are good lines.

Thank you so much! I was actually a little nervous about that those lines in particular, so I'm glad that you find them good.

Duke of Nothing 05 Apr 2019 14:38

I don't think you looked at some of my suggestions, but it's good anyway.

Ah, I was trying to implement some of them, but they just seemed a little bit more unnatural, would have ended up being more "tell" and less "show."

I did adjust some dialogue and description of his feelings to express his current character though, so thank you for that crit! Also I just realized I forgot to add you to my critter list, whoops!

This is exactly what I wanted to know about Stackers, keep up the good work!

As a piece about Stackers this is much better than anything else I've previously seen, but literally, anything is more than zero.

As a tale, the prose is bland and boring and very basic. It kept turning me off from continuing at points because of the poor execution.
