This is the discussion related to the wiki page SCP-2184.
Written well but ultimately also reminds me of SCP-1297, and the concept is played even more straight since the object doing the thing is a mammoth. There's no real cool story or background. You almost come close with the recovery log, specifically this bit:
SCP-2184 was discovered by Agent ████████ in ████ when he conducted a routine investigation to determine whether the mythology of the Siberian ████████-██████ tribe was based on the observation of anomalous objects or phenomena.
But ultimately, it just falls flat. I wouldn't mind it falling flat if it did it in an interesting way, but when it reminds me of another skip and nothing is really done with it to make it stand out, I can't do anything but downvote.
Actually I wasn't aware of 1297 when I wrote this. I see that it's similar to it, but I hope it's unique enough to survive in the mainlist.
I wonder, does the effect extend to modern languages? I'm going to imagine it does, just because I love the image of an MTF that communicates exclusively through grunting and pointing.
Nice idea! I did not consider this, when I wrote the skip. Might edit it in later, if the page avoids deletion now.
I really like the idea of foundation agents forced to dress like cavemen to contain this thing, but a similar concept was already done with SCP-804. No vote for now.

Well, it might be related, it's up to your headcanon. (I made this a steppe mammoth and not a woolly, because they were used in that skip.)
