It's that time of year again — time for hot chocolate, jingle bells, and gifts of art to your fellow skippers! Djoric couldn't make it this year, so Gaffsey and I have picked up the mantle. Come join the fun!
What is this thing?
It's a gift exchange, Secret Santa-style, where we all trade little handmade presents, and we do it secretly. Nobody gets to know who's making their present until after they receive it. Don't spoil the fun — it's just lame.
What kind of gifts will be exchanged?
Anything that you can A) make yourself, and B) send over the internet. Drawings, stories, music, videos — as long as you can e-mail it, and as long as you made it yourself, it's fair game.
How do I participate?
Sign up by posting in this thread to state that you're interested. Make sure to tell us what kind of gifts you would like to give (sketches, short stories, oil paintings, interpretive-dance recordings, whatever) and what kind of gifts you would like to receive ("anything involving one of my SCPs", "anything involving this particular GOI", "the Dance of the Sugarplum Squeedles", etc.). This is to help us match people up.
How will the gifts be distributed?
Once you've signed up, Gaffsey and I will add you to the Master Spreadsheet of Solstice Joy. Once all the sign-ups are in, we will use the spreadsheet to match everyone up for Maximum Happiness. We'll then send each person the name and gift-requests of the person they're giving to. Each of you will then create your gift and send me a link to it in a Wikidot PM; I will then send the links out to the recipients.
What do I do once I've opened my gift?
Post it to this thread! We'll all link to our gifts here, and everyone can have some fun trying to guess the givers before the big reveal.
