Originally I wasn't going to be participating in Jamcon 2 (what with INTcon and other projects) but then I figured I may as well participate. So, here's my Day 1 entry!

If I hadn’t pitched an idea exactly like this into chat several months ago, that ending would have thrown me for a complete loop. A fantastic interpretation of the theme.

This is a really neat idea, but I feel that knowing the theme of the contest spoils the twist.

Agreed. However, this is still excellent, and will be knocking people's socks off months from now once jamcon 2019 is forgotten about.

I had no idea what the theme of the contest was.

This did knock my socks off, indeed… Probably because if you were fed human corpses for ten thousand years, this is exactly what would happen.

This is the best take I've seen on a classic "shaggy dog story" so far. It's good right now, and I can only imagine it'll be even better when people come back to it after the contest is over with.

Going through Recently Created, I had no idea this was a contest entry. I can confirm that it's an absolute riot without that expectation.

Loved the initial concept, and loved the ending. The middle flags a bit, only because of the constraints of the passive voice on such a narrative-heavy skip. I could see some quotes or report transcripts added to break that up a bit, but it's already a good skip without them.

I'm not sure what is meant, though, that the TV broadcast "repeated in frequency."

I feel like the wiki already passed the amount of nigh unstoppable, immortal, world destroying eldritch abominations that there can be before they get tiring and lose their impact. Which is why I absolutely love the way this ended.

Great escalation and foreshadowing. That ending totally caught me by surprise. I added this to my "to read" list when it appeared in recently created, but didn't end up read it until now, after I had forgotten this was a jamcon entry. Goddamn it lol, that got me.
