Same. I suspect the humor was based on word puns that didn't survive translation.

Well, it seems that the original page of this article was cancelled. The author has left JP branch and cancelled this article.

I found an archive page's link from the translated page in CN branch, right over here, hope this can help ;)

BTW, as a part of the joke style in JP branch's celebration to the April Fool's Day, maybe the title of the css can be changed from "SCP Foundation" to something like "SCP Fishdation"?

Yep, that exactly what I mean.

You can see that the link to the original page now lead to nothing, an empty page.

It seems that the cancel happened on February 16th, 2019. I can find the translated page in CN, an archived translat page, and in INT, which seems the same as this page.

I'm a little uncomfortable with us continuing to hold a translated version of an SCP which its creator wanted to delete.

(full disclosure: I probably wouldn't be fussing about this if I actually liked this SCP.)

FYI, the original author, AiliceHershey's announcement of mass-deletion is here:

The biggest problem here is that while the author tolerates any form of personal safekeeping of deleted stuff, he also pleaded not to do 'things like asking to repost any of his self-deleted works based on "revive this!!" votes from readers¹.'

That being said, if you are fluent enough in Japanese, you'd notice there's a great share of ambiguity in his plea; he didn't mention how translated works of those self-deleted articles (finished after the mass-deletion, of course) can be handled.

It even exceed the expectation of the JP's translation guideline, because:

1. there isn't so much self-deletion of articles in the JP branch well above the deletion threshold and/or being there long time,
2. explicit permission for the INT wiki exists, but nobody is sure if it stands after his plea for no-repost-request, or it's actually valid for other wikis to have a copy from INT, especially after that plea (it's no way personal, apparently), and
3. it's not the submitter who translated the article first place².

I skimmed over the JP staff wiki for any decision concerning handling of his mass-deletion and plea, and found none.

Footnotes

1. Yes, this actually happened once, and it was for another retiring author. And I think it's unfair to mention that it was based on initiative by staff, rather than the author themself who has mass-deleted, and mainly because it relates at least one Hall of Famer.

2. There's much room to give them (the submitter) the benefit of the doubt, by the way. They might have been inactive when he has announced mass-deletion, and if they've seen anything about the mass-deletion later, they might only have found the announcement of deletion, not the earlier, more detailed (IIRC) notice of retirement. Just like me looking for it only to realize it has been made on one of his now-gone articles, perhaps his author's page.
