Trying… trying… trying…

…nope, can't seem to discern the meaning of this post. What the hell are you saying? :P
Search TIME CUBE.
Laugh, then weep when you realize that the person behind Time Cube is serious.
I'm no-voting this. While I appreciate the classic "thing that does a thing" styling, especially when it's well written, I think that this may be a little too on-the-nose in what it does.
Giving bearhugs to the unsuspecting since 1872.
I believe this is an absolutely excellent use of experiment logs and be something of an ideal example of what experiment log should hope to do. I do think that some of the examples could be cut (Zodiac killer, Voynich manuscript) however. It also isn't in the kind of style that fits my personal tastes.
I'm no-voting because of personal taste, but I'm still firmly of the thought that the logs are really well done structurally.
Living the dream, or dreaming the life?
Am I the only one who thought that was a lightsaber? +1
The concept is sound, and the logs are good, but what we learn is just so…ordinary. There was no "oh snap" moment, which I thought was coming after so many tests. No vote for now.
So add more log entries. I'm opening this up as a collaborative, but I reserve the right to curate it.
No vote for now. Just not enough meat and would like to see the object explored more.
One of the things that bother me about 914 is the lack of detail on any test log. Even though it is are creative, i'd at least hope that there was something more for me to see about the object given the fact that it is a Series III entry. It fits the "thing that does something" cliché for me as well, and even though it is quite unique, i don't think i can vote just yet.
Like Metaphysician said, more exploration would really be nice to this entry. I'll wait and see where it goes.
Love these "guess the effect" ones; took me a second readthrough to figure this one out.

It seems that, when you view writing/text through it, it shows what the original person/persons who wrote it were thinking when they did write it.
"THIS IS A TEST" became "LET'S START WITH SOMETHING SIMPLE" because that's essentially what the researcher was thinking when they wrote it.
Of course, this could lead to some funny insight depending on who wrote it. :P
Am I the only one who recognises this? Has this been posted before?

I seem to remember reading about something with similar if not identical effects.
