I think it is a pun on the phrase, "Hit the nail on the head." The two circles are the head of the nail and the end of the hammer.
(account deleted)It wasn't intended to be a pun, but that works. I'm glad you 'get it'. It wasn't supposed to be a riddle and I tried to run it by chat a few times to make sure it makes sense. It's a portal connecting your head to an old man's hammer. That's it.
The D-Class is the same one from SCP-1616. Gotta save money yall.
This makes something of a nice change from all the more 'abstract' (read: too complicated for me to understand) SCPs that Series III has got.
