awesome
makes me think that the only reason any of these things has any kind of ability is due to some bizzare flaw in science that affects only them
which is kind of beautiful in a way, the way these things are all linked because of a shared flaw…
"Acting on a wavelength previously unknown to physics" grates on the scientist in me.
It'd be much more plausible as superscience if the electromagnetic radiation was oscillating with four degrees of freedom rather then three. This would detectable, and might be interpreted as a unique "resonance" or "beat" to the waves. On first glance, physicists might interpret it as the result of the superposition of several complicated waveforms, though if they tested the radiation's range they'd notice it would diminish must quick then normal EM radiation.
Attributing miracle healing to an electromagnetic wavelength grates on the scientist in me.
It sounds like he restores people by the power of the Color Out Of Space.
Yeah, it's the Colour Out Of Space… but backwards. I got my tv to do healing electromagnetic healing once. They people heard about it and they got all the details wrong and starting clipping magnets to their head.
Then I got bored and turned the healing tv into an interdimensional vortex where your every desire and evil is reflected back at you.
I couldn't help overhearing this discussion, and would like to point out that that is more or less what I did with SCP-059. I figured it would actually take a lot longer to be absorbed, since it only interacts with terrestrial matter at the nodes in the waveform.
This is self-promotion, but 059 was my first SCP and it irks me that no one cares about it… *sigh*
good ups to the author of this one, though. I like it.
mm, i wasn't really going for anything profoundly scientific. kinda just turned into stream of conciousness mode for a second
It's very original. A few actually benevolent SCPs (like "hope") serve to mix it up and provide the foundation with some additional resources for mopping up the physical and mental harm caused by the Euclids and Keters. I like. That being said, I agree that a more scientific tone would let it mesh better with the other reports.

YE CANNAE STOP ME!!!!!!!….
ooohhh…. Yes you can.
It's lovely to see other bits of mythology appear here aside from the standard Abrahamic faiths. Plus Bes does tell good jokes.
