So, for the first challenge, let's address the secret, institutional, sunglasses-wearing elephant in the room.
How large is the Foundation?
Really, what is the Foundation in terms of budget? Or personnel? Or construction crews? Do they draw exclusively on government money, do they have front companies, do they rely heavily on paramilitary-like MTFs for everything? What about information control? What kind of resources does it draw yearly, or monthly, or even daily? Is there a blacklist of SCP items that must be destroyed due to containment costs, or those are simply turned into slag because they aren't interesting anymore?
The first Reachallenge is (how would it not), boring! Challenge reads as follows:
"A tale or supplemental report material that defines, in realistic terms the number of Foundation members, operations and sites in your head-canon. It doesn't matter how Sci-Fi-ish it sounds, give me budgets, give me numbers, give me conceptual maps, GIMME DATA and wrap it all in a nice tale that we can all enjoy."
Extra points will be awarded with greatly technical speak addressing use of tech and methodology exclusive to the Foundation, approximations to what other factions and GoI may have out there / cost the Foundation, etc.
Now, what this challenge means is not "kill the mystery of the SCP-verse", "kill anyone else's head canon" or "put a hole in this or that canon concept". Not it.
What I want is for you to have FUN1 and CREATE with it. You can make it a joke, if you want, lolFoundation tag notwithstanding. You can make it into a literal -J, tell this from the perspective on an anomalous entity, try to have an UIU accountant actually calculating how much the Foundation owes the US government in concept of unpaid taxes (or the other way around), what do I know!
Just answer the question, to the best or your abilities, and surprise us.
