So when I originally had this idea, a bunch of people decided they liked it so much that they all wanted to collaborate on it. Unfortunately the collaboration didn't work out, but I feel they should be credited anyway as at this point I don't remember which ideas came from where. So, thanks to MaliceAforethought, stormfallen, Varaxous and SirBaubius for brainstorming the earlier versions of this with me.

I recently decided that I still liked the idea enough that I wanted to carry on with it, so I brushed it off, rewrote huge chunks of it, and here we are.

Thanks to CaptainKirby, Swaghetti, Leveritas, ARD and weryillium for reading the draft.

There was an extra part to this originally that was basically a transcript of an O5 council meeting that basically said they had to keep this classified even from the rest of the Foundation because they didnt want them to all freak out that this had been happening to them their entire lives, heh

That sounds interesting. Although that part would probably be a little unnecessary so I can understand why it got removed. After reading the description of the thing you'll get why is it so classified anyway.

Poor O5's, having to deal with so many weird and sometimes straight up terrifying things.

It is my suspicion that the whole O5 council must be on all sorts of drugs or god knows what else to deal with all this crap.

Imagine all the poor O5's, having to take mnestics to avoid the infamous antimeme wipes, only to never eat breakfast again or take amnestics every single time. What a hellish life that must be.

Amazingly done. The discovery, containment, and the exploration log are all paced very well, and the description is so compelling. Fantastic. +1

+ Some suggestions

The development of mnestic compounds by agencies outside of Foundation control is to be prevented using any means necessary.

This is the mission of MTF Epsilon-7. For consistency with other antimemetic articles, I would recommend changing the line to "Mobile Task Force Epsilon-7 ("Forget-Me-Nots") is to continuously monitor and disrupt civilian development of mnestics."

Generally Class-W through -Z is used (to mirror the use of Class-A through -F in amnestics). Since Class-W's are taken continuously by antimemetic/counterconceptual personnel, at least one would've eaten breakfast while under its effects and thus discovered SCP-4144. I would recommend making 4144 perception require Class-X mnestics or stronger. (Don't use Class-Y)

Yeah, it very specifically means noon. ie, if you eat between the time you wake up and 12pm local time. You might consider it an early lunch, but the anomaly doesn't care about that, heh.
