Hermes, the Largest City on Atlalu
Basic Overview
Leap Destination Name: Atlalu (ElMA Homeworld)
└ There is an economically stable nation governed by the rule of law.
Affiliated Universe: Universe 01
└ This is a safe universe with no conflict zones.
Local ElMA Scale: Ⅸ
└ The largest ElMA faction is present, ensuring safety.
Warning from ElMA About Leaping: Yes
└ Since Atlalu is home to the largest ElMA faction, there is no danger associated with the world-leap itself. However, Atlalu's time flow exerts extremely high pressure compared to that of Earth, therefore caution is advised when performing a leap.
Location Introduction
Atlalu is a semi-natural planet existing within Universe 01. Because of the presence of ElMA Headquarters, this planet is called "ElMA Homeworld" by Elmaites, and 92% of its surface is occupied by a nation where ElMA is the state religion. To many Elmaites, Atlalu is considered a utopia and a sacred site they hope to visit on pilgrimage at least once. With its stable public safety, it is highly recommended for first-time world-leaping.
Atlalu's most distinctive feature is its exorbitantly high time flow pressure. Time here passes at an extremely rapid pace compared to Earth; on average, approximately 50 Earth years elapse on Atlalu for every single Earth day. This time flow discrepancy can fluctuate wildly, ranging from a minimum of 10 Earth days to a maximum of 80 Earth years relative to one Earth day. When planning your stay, be sure to check the time flow forecast published by ElMA Headquarters.
Atlalu possesses a civilization far more advanced than Earth's. As mentioned earlier, time flows faster in Atlalu than on Earth, which allows for rapid civilizational progress. Outstanding intellectuals from multiple worlds have also immigrated here, ensuring new advancements are being made every moment.
Landmarks
Leapers from other worlds first arrive in Hermes, the largest city on Atlalu. Characterized by its black outer walls and warm-colored lights, it is an advanced metropolis popular among sightseeing leapers. Hermes actively encourages immigration from other worlds, providing newcomers with a unit in a residential complex. Because of the accelerated time flow, it is particularly popular among Elmaites pursuing research careers, as ten years of research in Atlalu equates to less than a single day in their native world.
ElMA Headquarters is accessible via the city's interplanetary transport network, and any Elmaite is free to enter. The architectural style differs drastically from that of Hermes, with stone structures standing out prominently. Meza Castle, where ElMA Headquarters is located, is the largest of these stone constructions and serves as our symbol. The headquarters provides support services for believers wishing to world-leap, and visitors can observe the staff at work at any time.
The underground area of ElMA Headquarters houses the oldest interworld leap device, said to have been used by the Founder for his first world-leap. It remains fully operational even today, and those who wish to do so can use it to make a world-leap to Universe 02.

Personal Experiences and Anecdotes
Ishida Mitsuyoshi - Japan, Earth, Universe 058
I have a daughter from my late wife, who was five years old at the time. Just when I was thinking I had to do my best from now on — I was diagnosed with a terminal illness.
They told me I had at most one month to live. My daughter didn't have any other family besides me. I was utterly heartbroken that I wouldn't be able to watch over her as she grew up.
I first learned of ElMA just as I was telling my daughter how little time I had left. Motokawa, a close friend from my college days, had somehow heard that my days were numbered and dropped by to visit me (or would it be easier for you, dear readers, if I referred to him as High Priest Motokawa?).
Motokawa told me about ElMA and Atlalu, where its headquarters are located. He said that Atlalu could surely cure my condition. Back then, I wouldn't listen to his words. I could only see it as him being involved in some shady cult and using my plight as an opportunity to recruit me into it and swindle money. I kicked him out of my hospital room and went back to bed.
My condition worsened at a rate that exceeded the doctors' expectations. The inevitable day was brought forward sharply to only two weeks left to live. I pulled my daughter, whose eyes were brimming with tears, close to me and thought about the death that now loomed so close. Then Motokawa showed up again. Seeing the look on my face, he shook his head to deny my assumptions and made me a proposal.
"You should entrust your daughter to ElMA."
I tried to kick him out of the room again, but in stark contrast to his previous compliance, Motokawa refused to leave. The persuasion went on for over an hour.
There was no way I could entrust my daughter to some ambiguous cult. But neither could I send her to an orphanage… No, the whole religion thing sounded like a load of lies to begin with, human trafficking might even be a possibility. I couldn't bring myself to accept. Just as Motokawa was trying to reason with me, saying it was like an orphan entering a convent, my daughter spoke up.
"I'm going to Atlalu."
I tried to dissuade her, but she wouldn't listen.
"If what Motokawa-san says is real, I’ll be able to show you how I'm growing up, Dad. If that's the case, I want to go to Atlalu."
To be able to see my daughter growing up — something I was never supposed to be able to see — I couldn't say anything else.
"At this season, one day on this side should equal six years over there. Trust me with your daughter."
With that, Motokawa departed the room with my daughter. Perhaps my spirit was already being worn down by the approaching end, for I couldn't even call out to my daughter as she left the room.
Two days later, a stranger came to visit me, saying, "I have a delivery for you." With that, he handed me a photograph.
The photo showed a girl, about middle school age, dressed in unfamiliar clothes. On the back of the photo were the words, "Admitted to the National Hermes Academy." Seeing a hint of my daughter's likeness in the girl in the photo, I asked the man.
"This photo, could it be —"
He was already nowhere to be found. Not a single footstep. The door remained closed. Looking at the photo and thinking about the mysterious man, I came to believe that the extraordinary world known as Atlalu truly existed.
From then on, photos began arriving about once a day or even every half-day.
The school trip, acceptance into Hermes Theological Seminary, the coming-of-age ceremony, graduation from HTS, the graduation trip, being hired as a staff member at ElMA Headquarters, my daughter grew up right before my eyes in those photos. Oh, everything is going well for her. Just thinking that made me feel somewhat relieved… Then, gradually, my consciousness began to fade…
When I woke up, I found myself in an unfamiliar patient room, hooked up to dozens of tubes. Unable to move my body properly, I scanned my surroundings with my eyes and saw a noticeably aged Motokawa sitting by my bedside.
"Yo, it's been a while."
In my critical condition, I could barely respond.
"I thought it best to deliver this myself."
Motokawa held out a photo, which showed my daughter dressed in a pure white wedding gown.
"The groom is a junior from her seminary days. Since weddings in Atlalu aren't usually held in wedding dresses, I personally commissioned one for her — She's fully grown up now. There's no need for me to watch over her anymore."
Looking at the photo and the teary-eyed Motokawa, my heart swelled, and tears started streaming down my face.
"Actually, there's someone else coming today. Just wait a moment."
Motokawa dashed out of the hospital room,
