Hosted by the Discord Critique Staff!
Greetings, denizens of Deer College, lurkers, critters, and authors alike!
It's Spring, and that means it's time for a good old-fashioned Spring Cleaning!
For the SCP Wiki, we invite everyone to clean up those cobwebs or fix up that junk. You may participate in one of two ways:
Way 1:
Cobwebs
Got something that's collecting dust? Perhaps a draft that fell behind the counter? Or an art piece that's gone untouched?
Select a project that is over 1 year old that you've always wanted to get around to. If you have multiple projects, try donating them to other people who may not have a project of their own.
You can choose to absolve yourself of the draft completely, or put it up as a collaborative effort.
During the working period, get that project up to posting quality.
Post it! (Or not, your choice. We're not your parents!)
Discuss what made you want to select this piece for your writing project, how you went about writing it now that you have revisited the concept after some time, etc., all in Deer College with your fellow Spring Cleaners.
Way 2:
Junk
Sometimes, we got a little something that shows its age. Why not give it a once over and fix it up?
Select a posted piece of yours that you've always wanted to fix up and make better.
During the working period, you can work on a copy of it in the sandbox.
Post it! (Or update it. Or not! Again, we're not your parents.)
Discuss why you felt this piece needed to be rewritten, your philosophy for doing so, and what you liked about it that originally compelled you to write it in the first place, all in Deer College with your fellow Spring Cleaners.

You can choose to absolve yourself of the draft completely, or put it up as a collaborative effort. If you choose to donate a draft as a collaborator, the draft will only count as your submission for awards if you do any work on it past the donation.
During the working period, get that project up to posting quality.

No pressure!
THE RULES
- Follow the Site Rules. No exceptions.
- Follow the Criticism Policy.
- Follow the Discord Server's Rules.
- This is a Discord Critique Team event so if you would like to participate please join the Official SCP Discord Server (https://discord.gg/scp) and join us in the Deer College writing channels.
- You may only submit one draft/article for each category. This also counts collaborations.
- You may post to the wiki as part of this event at any point between the posting period of this event and the opening of the voting period.
- You may still post after the posting period has ended, but your article will not be considered a part of this event's running, and won't be considered for badges.
- You are encouraged, but not forced to, comment on other people's efforts to improve. We will be using the Contest tag on the Discord writing channel forums for this to keep track of everything.
- You are encouraged to highlight individuals who left insightful comments or good advice on how to improve your works.
- If you accept a donated idea, you are required to cite who you got it from as well as note if you used any of their work in your final draft. Whether or not this constitutes co-author credit is something we will leave up to both of your discretions.
- If you co-authored an article with someone, please make sure you request a member of staff to add you and your co-author to the metadata!
- All draft donations and claims must be put in this sandbox: https://scp-sandbox-3.wikidot.com/collab:spring-cleaning. Follow the rules there as well!
- Have fun!
