Westhead Global Entertainment.

Alternatively called GOI-1783, KTO-1926-Eisner, Westhead Media, The Gorgers, the Shredders, and other names of varying derisiveness.

They don't care what people call them, as they'll still be making profit anyway.

The company has a lot of tendrils in a lot of pies, both above and below the Veil. Whether it's through acquisition, investments, or partnerships, Westhead does not discriminate. If there's a form of entertainment people enjoy, they will capitalize on it, forcefully if they have to.

All towards two intertwined goals.

Gathering as much profit as possible.

And the Opening of Night.

The latter must be stopped at all costs.

Creative Destruction is a open series, showran by AlienSpaceBat and DFAstillo91. It mainly revolves around a vastly reimagined version of the minor GOI Westhead Media created by Tanhony, its influences on creative expression on both sides of the Veil, and the ramifications of its existence in a world where Toons exist.

But there's also room for:

Standalone stories involving Site-247 and/or the Department of Anomalous Broadcasting
Stories about individuals and groups affected by what Westhead Global Entertainment and the Site/Department do
Stories that don't involve either of those, but still touch upon themes relevant to CD as a whole

It is borne from a love of human creativity, and frustration towards the detrimental effects things like capitalism, corporatism, automation, generative AI, and greed have placed upon it.

The Company Itself What's Yours is Ours
An international media conglomerate with an unknown founding date, tens of thousands of employees and contractors, a myriad of divisions/subsidiaries/shell companies, and a seemingly bottomless amount of cash. Does not brazenly advertise itself in associated works, so the majority of the public is unaware of just how far its influence spreads.

  Cannot "create" anything without being exploitative in some fashion or another. Whether it's stiffing artists out of payments or enslaving Toons for their own ends, they see the phrase "no ethical consumption under capitalism" and make it an ethos.
  
  Was not "founded" in the traditional sense. It just inserted itself into reality one day, and temporally spread from there. Earliest "record" of its existence is a mention of a "testa ovest" in an early draft of Dante's Purgatorio, though unverified reports indicate it might have been "present" in some form or another even earlier.

The Westhead Hey there, Champ!
The enigmatic "founder"/Chief Executive Officer of Westhead Global Entertainment. The number of people who've met them face-to-face can be counted on one hand. Overly polite, if smug and smarmy, when conversed with, except for the fortunately few times they've gotten angry. Everything Westhead as a company does requires their explicit approval.

  The Westhead isn't human, despite their vices.
  
  They aren't a Toon, either.
  
  They're something else. Something parasitic but no less egregoric that originated from the Mnemosyne Expanse before symbiotically attaching itself to baseline reality, siphoning off of creativity itself.
  
  They see art only as a means to an end, not a method of expression. Doesn't need all the money the company makes to Open the Night, but thinks it's nice to have. Can fictonautically insert themselves into media, in order to directly voice their displeasure towards individuals that have heavily inconvenienced them. Their presence is announced by a low hum of static and the word "champ" (or "bucko" if pissed off).

The Foundation

The Department of Anomalous Broadcasting Don't touch that dial
One of the "nicer" Foundation operations. Headquartered at Suppression and Archival Site-247, located on Aspen Mountain, Wyoming. Directed by Gaston U. Kyrie, its front is a radio tower station, with a public ground floor and four Foundation floors. Monitors radio, television, and online media for anomalous properties, and acts as needed. Very rarely deals with physical anomalies. Cooperates with Sites 433, 15, and 43 on Westhead Global Entertainment and Vikander-Kneed Technical Media matters.

  Spoilers Stay Tooned
  
  Floor B3 nominally hosts the Department's Paratelecommunications division, focused on making sure communication and surveillance channels are clear with minimal delays. Its true purpose, only known to a select few outside of Director Kyrie and division head Ray Erstwhile, is tapping into the Mnemosyne Expanse for the purpose of easily spreading Foundation-wide propaganda within its employees. That will surely end well /s.
  
  Has a secret B5 floor, where the few "Alucinari-class entities" Site-247 is in possession of are held. What they do to these Toons makes their claim of being "nicer" than the rest of the Foundation dubious at best.

Amelie Nyka Au revoir, ma grand frère
Lead Researcher of Site-247. Jaded, deadpan, smokes herbal cigarettes like there's no tomorrow. French and American dual citizenship, pronounced Français accent. Primary lead in matters relating to Westhead Global Entertainment.

  Spoilers Pourris en enfer
  
  Smokes as a psychological coping mechanism, despite knowing that they are no more healthy than the nicotine ones. Has a bitter but one-sided rivalry with Site-43's Lillian Lillihammer, over her greater success when handling VKTM compared to Amelie's wranglings with Westhead. Is not on speaking terms with her older brother Jacques in Site-15, for reasons she refuses to elaborate on.
  
  Underneath her irritable exterior, the burden of working in the cold and cruel Foundation while trying to tackle something even worse weighs heavily on her mind. Deep down, she hopes her smoking habits off her before the psychological toll - or the Westhead - does.

  Spoilers Toonhead
  
  The real reason the Westhead wants Jessie is because they are a human/Toon hybrid, as a result of a union between their father and a Toon that escaped WGE's clutches. In fact, said Toon was - ironically - the main character of the show they were searching for. Can they keep themselves together (figuratively and literally), when the truth comes out? Only time will tell.
