"I found this one enjoyable. I can’t really put my thoughts into words without restating the obvious about the piece itself but as a bit of quiet cosmic horror it’s exactly what it should be. Or better yet, it’s what cosmic horror should be, quiet."
Zyde, on SCP-5500 — E is for the End
"Jesus. This hits you over the head at every single opportunity; the testimonies are perfect, all coalescing into a single, highly effective narrative which explains the existence of the anomaly and the larger symbolic connections people have to the intersection of random events in their life. Extremely well done, very emblematic of its own themes."
xexnoncores, on SCP-9695 — The Most Important Baseball Game In History
"I really vibe with this. It's exactly the kind of weirdness that has drawn me to this site so long ago, written with a modern sense and sensibility. Not a lot actually happens here, per se, but nothing needs to happen; the bug is more than strong enough as a mental image and as just a Fun Thing To Think About to push this well into upvote territory for me."
Ralliston, on SCP-9889 — End Of The Road
"I was a critter on this one, and let me tell you it was a real treat to watch evolve. The premise is very unsettling and the vibe feels incredibly disturbing; it's like watching Hoarders and r/WatchPeopleDie clips simultaneously, with disturbing implications in the subtext. The title makes me feel like this is a metaphor for a very very messy relationship, with traps set everywhere that lead to brutal outcomes — it's The House That We Built, though I recognize that that is probably solely my interpretation and not the intended message. Creepy regardless."
Yossipossi, on SCP-8494 — The House That We Built
"Loved every minute. Your writing is so consistently clean, clear and polished that it's never anything but a joy to read, and this never feels even half its length. It's a very fun romp with a strong emotional core, and the two halves of the story keep pace with each other in a way that's really difficult to balance. The sheer absurdity of the SPC, the infernal sleaziness of Undervegas, and whatever that last location was all work together to emphasize what a bizarre new world Robinson has walked into, and he keeps on walking because despite all the craziness this is at its core a story about a man who wants to help his grandmother. That's beautiful as a concept, and the execution intensifies the beauty. You did a fantastic job, Cal, and it's great to see you writing again."
HarryBlank, on SCP-8228 — Here's To You, Mrs. Robinson
"E is for Dammerung. Inspiration, or at least a similarity, is obvious without the author post. The quality too, is similar. Decision to write the log in third person is inspired, really makes this work. Great job."
Dysadron, on SCP-7179 — E is for Eternity
"OK I read it. You are a very talented writer. Very smart and funny. I hope you pursue writing."
Jeff Kinney, on Diary Of An Existential Kid
"'haha LoL bad' stretched over an article. Even though I get what the joke this article is referencing is, it's still really unfunny to me."
RadiantGold, on SCP-7400 — Your Honor, League of Legends
"Criminally underrated! The dialogue felt a bit sharp at points, and the story as a whole could have used some tightening, but at it's core this was a very fun ride. The heist was engaging, the stakes were clear, and the GOI itself left me wanting more. It's a very cool idea for an antagonist group. I kinda' want to play with them in some future articles."
T Rutherford, on SCP-6900-D — The House of Stars
"Glad to see the Horizon Initiative getting more content. I like the more "King James" biblical style that other Universal Texts haven't taken. +1"
Iapetus The Acausal, on The Parable Of The Three Princes
"I wanted to downvote it when I saw the title because I thought this was gonna be cringe, yet upon reading it, actually managed to be slightly creepy and humorous. Take a +1."
taylor_itkin, on It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Eldritch
"I really love the fake-out you’ve done here. At first, I rolled my eyes, thinking that this would be an attempt to kick off a third Little Misters-esque series, but the subsequent cancellation of the series in the next addendum brought me back in. Overall, I liked this quite a bit. Wondertainment’s always one of my favourite GOI’s, and I love seeing cases like this where it’s very clear that - even though the item did end up being dangerous - it was in no way intentional on Wondertainment’s part."
