1. Draw a circle, then construct its tangential regular triangle and hexagon.
2. Connect the triangle and hexagon's top vertices, then construct a concentric circle with that line's midpoint as radius.
3. Construct the second circle's tangential regular triangle and hexagon.
4. Draw a tangent of 2.'s from the second hexagon's top vertex, intersecting both triangles. Connect those intersections' midpoint to the first hexagon's vertex as above.
5. Repeat for other points to form the outer ring.
6. Construct an inscribed regular triangle in the first circle, then divide its side into halves, 4ths, and 8ths.
7. Repeat for the other sides, then connect the 8ths as depicted.
8. Mark the midpoint of the difference between the two circle's radius.
9. Connect that midpoint to the filled arrowhead to form the stem.
10. Adjust line thickness for target view size, with the outer ring being half that of the inner elements.
I learnt the Foundation never properly kept its records before the establishment of its data-handling RAISA, so they'd been copying the shield design from a low-res photocopy of the lost original since the 1980s. I had to wrestle it into a reproducible construction as part of my assignments.
It's a neat feather in my cap regardless, before— well, I shan't say; some things are best left alone.

Before coming to the Library, I hadn't known the Serpent's Hand was less an organization and more a collective movement, and there are many subgroups within with their own goals and motivations (and aesthetic preferences).
This one was commissioned by one of those hippie-looking fellas. They paid me with eight 100%-off coupons for Cafe Wayfarer, which I suppose is situationally more valuable than actual currency here.
The client requested that their logo be sufficiently removed from their parent organization. When I asked why they want to break uniformity from the others, they responded with, and I quote, "We're a special and peerlessly important organ of the UN, why wouldn't we distinguish ourselves with honor from the ignoramus?"
They probably said some more nonsense, but I tuned it out by the third minute.
Hm? It's unethical to receive commission from the Bookburners? Listen, I'm trying to avoid the starving artist stereotype, and I can't do that on an empty stomach.
Special thanks to Tobias Jung for helping me with creating a pentagon map projection.
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
- Ephesians 6:16
The Insurgency is… weird? I think? Not sure if they think of themselves as the evil one ironically, or if the 'chaos' aesthetic truly semiotically inform their identity.
I suppose I'm not paid to think too deeply into it.

The bird people that run a newsstand in the Library are an eclectic bunch, to be honest, although their recipe column is quite popular among certain circles.
Tried to pay me with a one-year free online subscription to their newspaper though, so maybe they're a bit desperate for readership.

Holy Seven
You don't often see Ortothans frequenting these halls; granted, it might be because they don't stand out much when among the Library's more colorful residents. As far as religious groups go, they're quite swell.
The one who contacted me has this look of grim determination about her; still, she was nothing sort of polite in our correspondence.
I hope she drops by again for more commissions, but I doubt it.

An infinite number of Black Queens walk into a studio to place a commission. That's partially a joke, only a few dozens showed up — I put up 3 samples on display.
Aside from being some kind of gothic(?) sisterhood with multiversal variations of themselves, I'm not sure what they do, exactly. But they pay incredibly well, so I'm basically set for life.
Though, couldn't they also have just commissioned alternate versions of me instead?
Skeuomorphic
Silhouette
An offshoot of AWCY? that operates almost entirely through anonymous chatrooms on the Internet, as far as I know.
Maybe it's just me, but their modus operandi (to whatever degree it actually applies) makes them dwell on the borderline, which is incredibly dangerous when you have the Foundation and Marshall, Carter and Dark lurking just over it.
Still, best of luck to them, the plucky underdogs.
Gagea Seal
Flag of Daevastan
A people with long, convoluted history and culture, I've learnt.
Some fun facts? They've got very advanced, borderline bleeding-edge horticultural practices, and their national flower is the Gagea divaricata, which is what the classic seal design bears.
I feel that I shouldn't say anything more than that, given the, uh, volatility of their ontology; you understand.
