Jerden's Art Page / Secure Facilities of the Lusophone Foundation » Lusophone Foundation Facilities Insignia
I made some Insignia for the Foundation Facilities of the Portuguese-speaking (Lusophone) Branch, based on this translated list. Originally this was just for fun, since the countries they're in have some great national and regional flags, particularly Brazil where the majority of Sites are located. However, the Insignia I made ended up being used on the offical Lusophone Branch Facilities Page, so I guess I'm not the only one who liked them! I figured I'd make another art page to showcase them, it may be useful to people from PT-BR if they want to make more in the same style.
I based the outline on L200's designs for Site and Area symbols, created for this map, to make them look more distinct from the English-Language Facility insignia.
Site Insignia
Site PT4, Évora, Portugal
Based off the Flag of Portugal – specifically the armillary sphere , since that’s a scientific tool.
Site PT7, Federal District, Brazil
Based off the flag of the Federal District, reshaped into a scroll since the Site is used as a library.
Site PT13, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
Based off the Flag of Rio Grande do Sul, with the addition of an Electricity Arrow since the Site focuses on electronics.
Site PT17, Mato Grosso, Brazil
Based off the Flag of Mato Grosso, with the addition of the Rod of Asclepius since it's a medical facility.
Site PT19, Zambezia, Mozambique
Based off the Flag of Mozambique, which is officially one of my favorites due to the fact that they have a Kalashnikov rifle on the flag.
Site PT20, Salvador, Bahia, Brazil
Based off the Flag of Bahia, with the addition of a Mural Crown, since the Site is located within the City of Salvador.
Site PT33, Minas Gerais, Brazil
Based off the very simple flag of Minas Gerais, but I try to avoid writing in these so I replaced the "Libertas Quæ Sera Tamen" with arrows. I kind of like this design, even though it's abstract it seems very military to me.
Area Insignia
Area PT2, Maranhão, Brazil
Based on the Flag of Maranhao, bars of Red-Black-White seems fitting for a maximum security area.
Area PT9, Macau, China
Based on the Flag of Macau, not much to say other than the fact that Macau has a very distinctive flag.
Bonus Sites!
Non-canon, I made these purely for fun. I may repurpose these designs in future if they fit for an actual Site (or Area) on the Lusaphone branch. I do try to add extra detail once I know what the Site does though. If anyone likes a design and wants to use it, feel free to change the number, I picked these basically at random.
