Commentary

Making these was fun - I'm a fan of heraldry and the contemporary designs of the US Military Distinctive Unit Insignia were a big inspiration for this. The specific Strike Teams and Assessment Teams depicted were mostly chosen for their names and the designs I could come up with based on them, I remain open to suggestions for further work. I could add more commentary, but I think part of the fun of heraldry is working out the references yourself.
