Chose Carrol #105: The Jabberwock by GremlinWC! For my first GOITOBER piece! It was a fun read, and I am a sucker for face-stealing monsters. Interpreting its design was a real treat for my creature-design enjoying heart.
Eyyyyy it's this guy. I have no idea what he looks like so I improvised a scruffed looking bitch. Drew something moderately inspired by Nobody Dies by Randomini because the Cool War is something I read around last year and thinking was fun. My personal art "challenge" to myself was just 'keep it messy!' so I did very minimal cleanup and also just rough painted in the colors. because this man is a MESS.
I think the plot of the Cool War could've been avoided if Duchamp had spoken his plan aloud. "I'm going to change the status quo by killing Nobody!" like c'mon man. Buddy. Pal. I know you're going through shit but repeat that again slower to yourself.
I was admittedly very exhausted today, so I elected to just sketch something based on the hub page! The concept of Three Moons is equal parts hilarious and interesting to me, and I'll be sure to check out some articles at a later date.
I really just wanted to render a gem prettily, because lighting is so so fun ;D this is just based on the general aesthetic we've got goin' on in that GOI with gemstones.
Just a simple sketch this time around of SCP-066, for I didn't have too much energy going into this. Also I didn't know this lil guy got rewritten or maybe that red ball of yarn w/ the eyes was an off-site thing and I never knew. Anyways I liked when it turned into a kitty.
And then I went all out in an aggie! First time inking something in full and it was actually kinda nice. Anyways- this is King Ragna from the PHENOMINAL SCP-7629 by WarriorofChaos! It is so so fucking cool with its worldbuilding and the DRAGONS HAVE AN ALPHABET! THERE'S AN IMAGE FOR IT TOO IT'S COOL AS FUCK. Please please please go read it it's so fun. It was fun to interpret the design of the Droganian King himself, what a pretty lookin' dergen :>
This is Sandra and George from the critter profile of the same name by Uncle Nicolini. What cute little critters I sure hope nothing happens to them. Did just a sketch today because I got distracted by other art stuff and didn't have the energy to ink 'em or anything.
CRAWLS OUT OF THE DEPTHS OF HELL. HI IM NOT DEAD I WAS VERY BUSY.
This was a quick doodle based on a scene from Heart of the Beast by aismallard! That tale and the lil mini series its from is so so fun.
Just a quick, silly little doodle of the lass herself!
Decided to just doodle the little insignia that's in their GOI formats cause I thought it looked pwetty.
SCP-7806 by HarryBlank sure was something to read KJHDFGKJHDFGKDHF so here have. This drawing.
General drawing based on the hub page/gen information on the Black Queen! Really banger concept. Go girl, make your daddy issues everyone's problem!!
CARTOON OLD MAN! ME SCRAMBLING TO CATCH UP
And this is. A drawing based on SCP-3929 by djkaktus. Commitment to a bit relating to me and a friend deep-diving the dado tag at 3 AM. Unfortunately 'heavens to betsy i just want to nut' is a phrase we say to eachother on occasion.
Holy shit I finally got around to reading SCP-7000 by HarryBlank. Only took me like a year and a half LMAO. Oh my god I wish I read it sooner it was fucking hilarious and real damn interesting. I love you mr dr wettle
Y'know, in a website full of body horror, gore, existential terror and apocalyptic dread - the last thing I'd expect to disgust and unsettle me to my core is some pastel pink blog posts - but god damn ok! This is a doodle based on Ella's Sickly Sweets by DianaBerry. I'm gonna have to check out more of this group.
A little doodle based on the wonderful tale The Beat Must Go On by Corax D! I remember reading it ages ago and really connecting with it, as the child of a musician. It's such a fun piece.
Holy FUCK I did it. I was,,, honestly not expecting to be able to pull off committing to the whole month but SURPRISE!!
My final piece is of SCP-6871 by Ralliston. Beforehand I'd only read the Finding Asmodeus part of the Unfounded canon, and this was a really interesting piece - and the ending twist (and its implications in terms of Unfounded itself) was very, very fun.
