Soft White Light by PoufyPoufson was actually the FIRST SCP-9000 entry I drew but the author didn’t end up posting it until the 23rd. This one is about a mysterious abandoned space station floating next to a really, really big star. It follows a researcher and a robot companion exploring it and looking to understand it as best they can.
For this, I wanted to incorporate some elements of theater. I wanted the star at the center of the show, and I wanted the two main characters sitting in the front row just watching it. I wasn’t quite sure what colors I wanted to do for this, At first I was thinking I wanted them to look a little bit more purple, but I went back and made them slightly more close to the article’s color palette. Beautiful CSS, by the way. Poufy did a fantastic job with that.
I also went kind of wild with the perspective on this one mostly because I wanted it to seem like reality was warping around this star. Kind of like a black hole, even though that’s not really a thing in the article or anything.
So, I hope you enjoyed my illustration. Tomorrow I’ll be posting one about The Breakdown of the Egg Structure by Xexnoncores and Tyrastafr. Your article is great, but I have no idea how to pronounce either of your usernames. I am sorry If you want context before seeing my next video, which I’d recommend, go ahead and read that article if you haven’t already and while you’re at it, read THIS article as well.
