Video Transcript:
l’Ortolan is my SCP-9000 contest entry. I had the idea for a neo-sarkic pearl-culturing in human flesh thing for several years now. But, I never really put the final pieces together and actually tied it together with another idea I’d had about the Parisian ballet in the 1800s until the contest. So, this article is about pearls grown in human flesh, French cuisine, and Parisian ballet.

I’m going to say right off the bat that, according to commenters on the article itself and people off-site who’ve read it, this is a profoundly disturbing article. It has the potential to ruin your day and I’ve been told, between praise by the same people, that it’s ruined multiple peoples' days.

I’m drawing the main protagonist here. Part of the plot centers around the creation of a ballet called Coppélia. It was choreographed by Author Saint-Leon and is about an engaged man falling in love with a girl sitting in a chair and reading on the balcony of a mad scientist figure called Dr. Coppelius. Once he, and his fiance, sneak into Dr. Coppelius’s house to see her, they realize Coppélia was just a dol created by Dr. Coppelius that doesn’t do anything.

I wanted to draw something that felt like Coppélia herself got sick of being still and tossed the book to the floor.

I hope you liked today’s sticker. Tomorrow I’ll be posting one about Interdimensional Real Estate Gaiden: Revengenance by Iamtheooga. If you want context before seeing my next video, which I’d recommend, go ahead and read that article if you haven’t already and while you’re at it, read THIS article as well.
