The SCP Wiki’s SCP-9000 contest posting period has just opened today. These happen once every year or two when we’re running out of the previous thousand numbers. It starts off the new series. The last one was 8000-8999 and this one is SCP-9000-SCP-9999. The winner gets the SCP-9000 slot, the rest get the slots of their choice, highly requested slots going to authors in order of placement in the contest, and then the new series is open to post in. So, I’m drawing as many entries as I can.
This one is called I’m Still Here by local lesbian commie. It’s about anomalous Brazilian football reruns.
I’m not going to say too much about this article, as I’d prefer you read it yourself, but I think my favorite part about it is that it gives the Chaos Insurgency a coherent ideology.
So, what I’m drawing for it, is a new take on a propaganda poster that is found in this article. It’s one of those old World War 2 era soviet propaganda posters where a soldier is stabbing a snake in the shape of a nazi symbol. I wanted to draw something that incorporated the foundation symbol into the shape of the snake itself. It took me a while to figure it out, but I think I’m happy with it. I also left this illustration a little bit messy rather than smoothing it out all the way because I wanted it to feel kind of like a block print.
