Video Transcript:
The SCP-9000 contest entry The Breakdown of The Egg Structure is about Percival Darke of Marshall Carter and Dark fame. It takes place before Iris Darke took her place as a lead of the company. It’s about this reality warping anomaly that is created through Percival’s emotional turmoil surrounding Iris’s choices of attire.

I’d suggest reading it if you haven’t already. It’s upsetting, and yet managed to be hopeful by the end of it. I wanted to incorporate a few of the symbols present throughout the article. An egg, a snake, and some black goo/ink stuff.

You can see I kind of tried to start with an egg eating snake but decided that looked incredibly goofy so I stopped.

At the same time, I wanted to add kind of a hopeful feeling to the elements that were meant to imply so much strife. So, I ended up turning the black goo into something more like a sky full of stars. I like to go outside and look up at the stars while I sit on the swing out in the woods some clear nights and think about where I’ll be in my future. Who I’ll be in my future. So, I drew that.

I hope you liked today’s sticker. Tomorrow I’ll be posting one about my own article called l’Ortolan. I shouldn’t have named it that: I can’t pronounce French. But, if you want context before seeing my next video, which I’d recommend, go ahead and read that article if you haven’t already and while you’re at it, read THIS article as well.
