I'm really glad to have experienced this. I have never thought of myself as a particularly good author, but writing something that's always has been fun for me. I've known about the Foundation for a long time, but I joined the wiki in 2022 and published my first succesful article in 2023.
Time flies.
There have been times I've been very inactive and there have been rougher days, but overall I think it's been a very positive thing for me. I've learned a lot of things about how to approach both my own and other people's articles. It's also been fun getting to know many of you, and seeing the awesome stuff y'all do. I wouldn't be here without your help and critique. I know I'm still not very established as an author, but I'm happy to have made it this far at least. I hope it is far from over. Thank you, everyone.

1: Did you know that the Passenger Pigeon was once the most common bird in the world, with a population peak of 3-5 billion?
For scale, the currently most common wild bird has a population of around 1.5 billion
2: Did you know that penguins are actually named after another bird, the Great Auk?They were visually similar, but not related genetically.
3: Did you know that the Haast's Eagle weighed around 10-18 kg? For scale, the white-tailed eagle weighs about 3-7 kilograms.
4: Did you know that the Sulu bleeding-heart has an incredibly cool red spot on its breast that gives it the look of being shot in the heart? (You can look up pictures of the Luzon bleeding-heart if you're curious, it also has the spot.)
