In Character: New administrative staff with sufficient security clearance may use this tool to more efficiently familiarize themselves with the information in the SCP database. For security and data-integrity purposes, this form of access is read-only.
Out of character: It's a tool that makes it easier to go on an archive binge. You can use the Canon Mass Orientation Tool a lot or you can just be a CMOT Dabbler, it's totally up to you.
Item #: SCP-2107
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: No containment procedures are needed for SCP-2107 at this time, and can be moved by any personnel without permission, as long as they don't intend to use SCP-2107 lethally.
Description: SCP-2107 is a creature with a peculiar defense mechanism. Only certain people can see it correctly. This form, designated SCP-2107-2, has been described as a fuzzy green cube with one eye on each side and a back side, probably used to lean on.
SCP-2107's other form, designated SCP-2107-1, looks like a normal chair in every other way. The way the chair looks varies from person-to-person. This form gets the -1 designation because it is seen more often.
Despite this, SCP-2107 prefers to be used as a chair, and will actually make a purring sound when sat on or stroked like a house cat. SCP-2107 is incapable of moving on its own.
SCP-2107 appears to have memory, as it has been seen to be extremely happy when a person it likes from before comes by, as it will start purring before the person takes their seat.
SCP-2107 has yet to show any hostile actions. SCP-2107 has been seen growling at anyone who used it as a weapon or has harmed it in any way. (kicking it, etc.) Apologizing to
Discovery: SCP-2107 was found when a mother had a nervous breakdown when she heard a purring sound coming from the dining room chair. Teams were sent to acquire the oddity and immediately found it not dangerous.
Addendum: Okay, we need a rule here. No taking SCP-2107 for practical jokes. Yes, it is funny seeing everyone's reaction when their chair starts purring, but its a misuse of SCP-2107. -Dr. Careen
