Nicely handled so far. I anticipate forthcoming entries with interest.

Who knew 096 could get scared?
Involving SCP-053.
DAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
*laughs* i had to…sorry for anyone who doesn't like the SCP-053 test, but i just had to do it! 053 does not affect non-humans anyway…
The DAWWWWW is because it's so fucking adorable.
Do we have permission to add our own entries? Like, for example, SCP-1645? We can make SCP-682 contract Hachi Disease from SCP-1645, and let the sprouting heads do the job of attacking 682.
I don't know why you posted that in this particular spot, but run it past the forums and get consensus approval before posting it.
if your reading this your gay
Ok, then. But where do I go to run it by the people to see if my idea gets approved?
run it past the forums
Scantron already said it. Probably ideas forums, since a single log entry isn't of the same weight as a full article draft.
This log isn't tagged "collaboration" though, so I don't think new entries should be added. You can talk to the page creator if you really want your entry up, though.
Also, item suggestions are appreciated. If people feel strongly that one particular item should finally kill the old guy, let me know. I'd like to keep him around, but the consensus appears to be to kill it…
Actually, I think that it would be better if SCP-682 never died. Personally, I think that he/she/it is a bit of a legend, and is sort of a standard to which other legendary SCP subjects' "survivability" is compared to. I fear that if SCP-682 were to die, a piece of the lore would be lost forever (cue sad violin music.) Just my opinion, but I honestly urge you to not kill 682 anytime soon, if ever.
Just putting it out there, I would shed manly tears if I came to this page and found out that 682 died.
I suggest SCP-1645. Granted, SCP-1645 is pretty new, but there should really be a experiment on that. What if SCP-682 contracts Hachi Disease, and grows additional heads that constantly bite at its face? that would be an interesting experiment.
Wow I am late to this party, I am not sure if any of you are still active, but here's a thought. What if we simply introduced SCP-73 (AKA Cain) to 682. Any thoughts?
They'd only sink in as far as their cores. If you threw one at him, sure it'd hurt him, but he'd just toss it back. No sense devoting a test to it, IMO.
Unless you tried, like, throwing him into an SCP-143 lined room filled with an SCP-468 ball-pit. Might knock a couple pounds off him.
… and if you did that enough, maybe he'd even be small enough to attempt the 173 test again.
I know it's meant to be a joke attempt, but is there a reason our reptilian friend seems to have reacted to Dr. Clef in much the same way as to 173? Just curious. Also, what would happen if we exposed him to the clockwork virus? (217, sorry I don't really know how to link articles)
Well, if it worked it would probably remove or reduce SCP-682's adaptive abilities, and if it was infected at the right time might make it more continuously dormant (or more continuously aggressive, which is the other reason I wouldn't recommend it). What I think would probably happen is that 682 would become partially infected, its immune systems would kick into gear (ha ha), and a big, ugly clockwork tumor would be ejected from its side.
Well if it's mechanical, then an EMP may shut it down and kill it, not sure though
Sorry to reply to old post, but EMPs only affect electronics.
True, but consider the fact that clocks need a battery to turn. Aha!
True, but consider the fact that there are multiple kinds of clocks, including spring-driven, pendulum and hairspring kinds, that don't require electricity. Double Aha!
“You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.” Friedrich Nietzsche
^ Seemed fitting for the SCP.
With all do respect I'm pretty sure he would take the clockwork virus into his biology and become a carrier without being directly affected making him even more dangerous
Ha! You are considered safe right now, I just looked at a picture of 096.
have we tried giving it cancer through massive radiation? (as opposed to incinerating it or whatever?)
As cancer is a mutation in the cell growth, it would cause him to no longer function as he should. In fact, he could be immobilized forever (since we can't just kill him) and no longer a threat.
Mess up his regen at least…
Or he could gain an ability to induce cancerous growths. Which would be bad.
Perhaps let the creature share containment with some of the artifacts that outside factions want to steal… you know, as a security measure. (Evil grin.)
MWU HAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH
Kiiiind of verging on spammy there, The Guy Behind You. Please don't make too many posts like these.
I laughed so hard at the 2521 log!
Love and light to all.
