So am I, but honestly, with the influx of shitty coldposts, I can't be bothered. When all of this blows over again, you will have your jests and jabs.
Why is there such an increase in the newb-coldposts-per-day rate, by the way?
Markiplier did a new SCP: Containment Breach playthrough on Youtube, so chat is getting hit with a flood of underage users, trolls and other assorted idiots, and the wiki gets loads of new users who don't read the guides and throw out slenderman, generic spooky monster #2637 and so on.
I am a assorted idiot but to be fair I've been a fan of SCP foundation for a very long time, at least as long as I've had this profile on Wiki. Back then there wasn't much on this site and what is still on here from 08 is pretty different. I don't remember every SCP having a name, half of them were [DATA EXPUNGED] and what not. It also wouldn't make sense to start a book from the end (Series 3). So new members are going to start at 001, I started at two because 001 was practically taboo back then. I don't see how having more members is a bad thing, if I understand a professional screenwriter joined recently, that says a lot as to the popularity of the site. Who know one day some famous writer might make a SCP Foundation series of novels.
P.S. I admit Markiplier playing SCP:CB is what made me get back into the Foundation. Might be why Screenwriter man joined. One more thing I retroactively apologize for any and all stupid comments I post, not to mention my grammar.
Edit: Now that I think about It I only watched Markiplier because he was playing SCP:CB.
MCHesh, I'm not really sure what your post here is supposed to accomplish. Crayne never said that having more members is a bad thing, and the rest of your post seems to be defending yourself from accusations that no one made.
I just don't think its nice to call new members idiots and such. You're right tho, I may have gotten defensive my bad. I like you Zyn, you don't mess around. I should stop trying to be myself as it does not translate to text very well. I'll try the emotionless approach, no more sarcasm or tom foolery.
For the record, Crayne's phrasing was:
underage users, trolls and other assorted idiots
With all due respect to the aforementioned parties, underage users who attempt to join the site either have not read the site rules or are clearly ignoring them. Trolls are trolls.
I don't see him calling new members idiots anywhere, and I definitely don't see him attacking you. Besides, if you ever feel like anyone's purposely going on personal attack, you should let a staff member know because they'll be able to deal with it (e.g. warnings, bans, so forth).
Fair enough. I think I have had low blood pressure today so I haven't been all there. My apologies for misunderstanding, I can sometimes be a bit overzealous when I feel like someone is being a "bully". Realizing that Crayne was just voicing his displeasure dealing with underage trolls and idiots. I can understand that, it is the internet after all.
SCP: CB released its v1.0 recently and there have been a multitude of Youtubers doing Let's Play videos of it. So we've had a lot more attention than usual. Therefore, a spike in membership and over-eager newbs posting poorly prepared posts. It's unfortunate, but this too shall pass.
Yeah, I know, but I still miss them. Like how a dog misses its family while they're at work.
Yes, I just compared myself to a dog. Deal with it. :P
