I like the new branch focused on modern tech. Some of the terminology and the establishment of a single leader has me kinda iffy, but I'm probably one of the people with the most headcanon on this particular GOI. Not bad overall.
Oddly enough, the only other place Robert Bumaro is mentioned on the Site is in Church description on the Groups of Interest page. Nowhere else. He has never been featured in any Broken God work that we could find. So we decided we might as well give him a little backstory.
I understand and approve of "Maxwellist", although I wonder why they didn't go for Turing. You could have had their doctrine hinge on a Turing Church Thesis! *pause for laughter* But, uh, yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to reading objects that are half religious catechism, half assembly line instruction…or all copypasta.
What is "Maxwellist" a reference to? Assuming it isn't about James Clerk Maxwell, or the fraudster sometimes referred to as Cap'n Bob, is it about Maxwell Computers?
E: And I do think Turing would have been nice.
I believe it's referencing this: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxwell%27s_equations)

^ Seemed fitting for the SCP.

This is one of the hubs I like a little more than the rest. I enjoy how the Church really is portrayed as a "Church" with different sects pertaining to different aspects of the religion, like how Christianity has Eastern Orthodox and Lutheranism.
Regarding the Maxwellians, I imagine that their gospels are translated into a wide variety of (programming) languages, but is there any particular language that is regarded as "superior" to the others, in terms either of piety or scholarly acumen? Sort of like how Latin was treated in the real world for a long time?
I only had a couple computer programming courses myself, but since Latin serves as a root language for many that came after it (hence Romance languages), I'd imagine the programming language equivalent might serve that role as well. With that in mind, it might be BASIC or C (or C+ perhaps), but again, I don't know as much about programming as I'd like to.
An assembly language would make sense, if you're looking for a predecessor. They're translated almost directly into machine code. Not quite pure, but the first level of language that was "human readable." At least realistically. That or machine code itself.
My (Broken) God, It's like the Vanu Sovereignty. I actually really like this iteration, interesting structure and mental images.
Is there a list somewhere explaining which SCPs are believed by the Church to be part of their God? I know that its heart is SCP-882, but a simple list, in this hub or in this discussion would be wicked cool.
Either way, this hub is neat, so it gets a +1.
Edit: Also, I just found out that there's a CotBG Wiki, and, unless I'm doing something wrong, it looks totally dead. Would anyone be interested in reviving it?
I would have been interested, but I believe the page has since been taken down. A pity.

Is the symbol for the "Builder" sect of The Church also used as the symbol for the Church as a whole?
Question: Can I write some holy writ? I would like to write something detailing the beginning.
Go right ahead! It's worth running it by FFB or Ihp or I before posting it, though.
So we can check it for dangerous heresies.
Sunny wanted to make new emblems for this page, so we sat down and talked about hammer iconography and steam engines for a bit and this is a result.
You're the best, Sunny.
