A big thanks to my mother this time for helping with this idea!

Also big thanks to my co-author DolphinSlugchugger for both the photoshop, the name, lots of idea-work and the dialogue for this skip!

Thanks to my critters, plaguebearer, Captain Kirby, LordStonefish, kinchtheknifeblade, Uncle Nicolini, Hot-coles, and anyone else I missed!

Enjoy what wasn't an 001 Proposal, was briefly an 001 Proposal, and then wasn't again.

Also big thanks to Plague Bearer for the Logo used in the TGI Foundation CSS <3

As the original image has been deleted, it is to be assumed that the image is no longer cc-compliant with the SCP wiki's license (CC BY-SA 3.0). Thus, the image has been removed.

Premise is both nihilistic and fun in just the right amounts. Leaves me with a few questions unanswered¹²³⁴⁵⁶, so I wouldn't exactly mind if this was elaborated in some way or another, but I still like it as it stands, so take your upvote.

Footnotes

1. Is the TGI Friday's the only space left in the universe after it collapses?

2. What is the threshold where this starts to happen? Does this only happen after heat-death, XKs, information deletion via black holes, etc?

3. Were the employees created when the first extra-universal TGI Friday's was, or were they just people in the universe who were shoved into the restaurant when it died?

4. Is the law of conservation of mass intact in the remnants of a dead universe, or is everything gone save for what was needed for the TGI Fridays and the food/drinks it makes?

5. Without a reliable and infinite way to measure time, how do the employees handle shifts, eating, and sleeping?

6. I strongly believe that this article would fit nicely into a canon, but I can't decide which one would work best. Part of me really wants this to get added to S&C Plastics.

Yeah, I have to give this a no vote for now because questions like these eat at me. And I have to imagine the foundation would do a more…thorough interrogation and tests…I guess those tests exist and just aren't shown here, but with only one interview and no tests, the casualness of the interview is jarring.

That said its also wonderful and hilarious so I wouldn't dream of downvoting. have my enthusiastic +0 i guess?

This is awesome, depressing, kinda funny, everything great about skips im ome neat little package. Even caught the Hitchhikers reference at the end. Although this could all just be a nod to the restaurant at the end of the universe…

I'm not a fan of this one. The exposition is all done directly in that log, and it's just the Foundation character stating what we already could have inferred from concept alone, leaving the whole thing feeling hollow. The Restaurant at the End of the Universe vibes and the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster reference didn't do much other than make me think 'yeah, this is similar to some stuff' but there's not enough original stuff here to make it mean anything. The concept is already dependent on a real company's existence, and it is quite literally a Restaurant at the End of the Universe. Same concept, except multiples instead of one that uses time travel like in Hitchhiker's.

The logo's use doesn't seem to have an in-universe explanation, which does give it a -J feel even though the concept (including its humor) doesn't have to feel like a -J. Also, the CSS does not change the Wikidot account info text in the top right to a darker color, the logo is pixelated as hell (I'm sure my monitor resolution is to blame for that, though, but high-res monitors are becoming more and more common and it doesn't really take that much longer a load time to have a reasonably large image, especially if it takes up that much of the screen), and the completely blank header space is visually unappealing.

I agree with this. It's the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, but more boring and miserable, by design.

I enjoy this kind of humour and tone, but the substance of the article is just two people talking about how life is a bit shit.

Agreed with all of the above… the dialogue was well-written enough that I couldn't downvote, but there just isn't enough here. It doesn't help that Agent Ruth's musings are so glib, though that might be the intention (I do like the Manager's response of "yeah, sure, if you say so").

I'm also finding myself in agreement with Cyan here. The concept is OK, in my opinion, but I feel like it could be explained better. I found myself somewhat confused coming out of the Description.

I dislike the fact that most of the exposition is in the interview. In addition, a lot of the dialog seems somewhat rant-y, and I found myself skimming it.
