For the purpose of professionality,

• Change the “Classification Committee” to “SCP-4899 Analysis Team” or something similar.
• Phrase it like this: By an 8-3 vote, the SCP-4899 Analysis Team has agreed upon reclassification of SCP-4899 as Keter.
• And for Pete’s sake, fix the images in the article. I’m an absolute nut for celestial skips so I want to see what the later pics are. LEMME SEE LEMME SEE

Goofs aside, I’m kinda hoping this becomes a thing. You should probably flesh this out more; does it do anything besides take scandalous pics of Earth? Because if that’s it, then you definitely need to give it something more palpable. If nothing seems to work, slap a cognitohazard on it. I mean, try dozens of other things before considering the coghaz, because this has much, much more potential than just that.

The pictures are all up there, just the formatting is super wonky, and if I'm gonna be honest, I have no idea how to fix it. If anyone does know wikidot well enough to get images centered and not fly over the next addenda, I'd really appreciate it!!

I'll definitely change the terms though. I saw similar terminology being used in SCP-4444, an article I dearly love, but you're right, it does sound better your way.

Okay, now I can see the images. I don’t know why I couldn’t before. It was probably just because I was on mobile. If I were anyone at the Foundation, I’d be shitting myself.

Also, my favorite part of 4444 is Addendum 3.

I tried writing a relatively shorter article this time around. Usually I attach endless pages of addenda, but this time I felt like doing something different. Does it work? Is it a pile of garbage? Let me know!! I'm always open to feedback!

Starts off very strong, but is ultimately a bit of a let down.

The images themselves don't progress meaningfully, aside from beginning to focus on Foundation sites - so it's essentially a visual rehash of what was already cleanly conveyed in the description. Due to how sparse the addenda is, it's far too easy to simply gloss over them and head right smack into the final image in the first section. This has the effect of ruining any possible tension - it's got no time to build towards that point, and the image did not elicit any kind of reaction from me.

Following that, having a similar message come back-to-back cheapens the effect. I don't feel the final image carries the impact it is supposed to.

I don't think you need to add a whole ton to this. It doesn't need bloat, but it could do with some substance - something that might imply the intent of this thing, or otherwise give it some kind of unique flavor. A bit of description, and perhaps some formatting to better space apart the images to give them a bit of breathing room, might go a ways to strengthen the pacing here.

Yeah, I'd love to reformat the images to center, push down the next addenda instead of floating next to it, and not be so weirdly placed, but I honestly haven't been around wikidot enough to know how to do that. If you or anyone knows how to fix it, I'd love to know too!!

Hey! So I played around with your code for a little bit (didn't want to change anything without your permission, just used Preview to test a few things) and I think I've found something that works. So, what I did was encapsulate your pics in a div thing, like so:

You have to replace the & signs with the appropriate [[ or ]] brackets — I would've done it here but the comment turned out weird? But I think that should somewhat solve your problem of centering the photos, and you should be able to play around with the width setting to get different sizes.

Very cool concept that could have lots of potential. You should try to flesh it out more and go in depth about what some of the disasters were, maybe tie it in to another SCP such as SCP-682. It would be cool if it knows the power of 682 and intentionally sends waves to there. (Also its says ever instead of every in the last paragraph)

Mirroring Shaggy here. The last image really didn’t do much for me, mostly due to the very similar image right before it. I still don’t know if the star is hostile, able to predict the future, or if it’s responsible for the disasters. I’m inclined to believe it’s hostile due to the last couple of images, but I could equally believe the star is trying to help by coming to us. I like where this is going, but it just doesn’t come together at the end. Novote from me.

I think you have an interesting concept that has the potential to be very engaging. The issue however, it just takes too much from other skips - the whole "is it causing these events or just warning us of them?" is basically 990's punchline, and the idea of some kind of distant star communicating in real-time and "coming" for us was basically the entire point of The Hateful Star, and even though it's not on the site anymore a lot of people (including myself) are going to see these similarities. There's definitely an angle to explore to differentiate at least from the latter of those, but as of now any interest in the content is severely dampened by extreme parallels with older skips. It's a no-vote for now, but I'd love to see you develop this a bit more.

I'm a little late, but I'm going to echo a lot of the other comments here: It just needs something more. The writing is good, the idea is there, but it just falls a little bit short for me. It's way too promising to downvote, but for me it's a novote unless the idea gets fleshed out a bit.

I reckon instead of the containment procedures saying that there is no way to contain it, it should say something like “ Foundation satalites continue to watch the coordinates for any messages sent from the location “ or something about watching the movements of the object through high powered foundation stuff to see if its heading towards earth.

The images used in this article are from Google Maps, which allows for commercial use of their maps and as such are cc-compliant. The other two images were created for the article and as such are cc-compliant as well.
