Like so many other SCPs, this one came to me when listening to a song, and like many other SCPs of mine, this one has a few easter eggs hidden in it.
It's pretty good! It was funny, and as I think someone else said, the increasing blackboxed prices were a nice touch.
Now I'm curious, though — what song were you listening to when you got the idea for this SCP?
Those messages really drew me in. By the time I read the second one, I was very curious to read the third. This is one of my favourite language related SCPs.
Well done, Dmatix. +1
Much obliged. Hmm… how many language related SCPs do we have anyway?
Short, simple, and effective. Nice work, Dmatix. +1
I voted this up last night, but I really wanted to comment.
I like this piece most because of the business aspect. Since the first draft I saw, the atmosphere of commercial exploitation comes through even stronger than it did before. The labels, the literature, the ever-increasing price tag. All together it flows brilliantly into the conclusion. In the end, the customer is ultimately satisfied with the person they were in the first place, and isn't that a valuable life lesson(R) we can all get behind?
+1.
Well shit, I'd pay quadruple digits to be satisfied with who I am.
if your reading this your gay
Still has its horns?
… One might call antlers horns. I must wonder.
/I should really *read* the Saturn Deer stories at some point.
The Saturn Deer strikes again! Last time it was by turning an old lady and an elder entity of sharpness into trees, now it's screwing with everyone's language!
