I'll say its a slow burn to get to the point where we see the historical connection, but the unraveling of Dr. Selks and the record of altered historical events really intrigued me as a reader. If anything, I would have loved to have seen more reversions of history and the logic behind them, since your presentation here is quite good.
That said, this is not without problems. The way you play the O5s here is a little close to the ground. These are supposed to be the top dogs of the Foundation, and you have them overseeing disputes between Level 3 staff. Shouldn't there be Level 4 Site Directors and such handling this minutia? Additionally, the interview logs between Everwood and 4000 didn't really grab me, as they seemed like the typical "Humanoid skip gets in a researcher's head and causes problem" series of events, and are easily the weakest part of the article for me.
Overall, +1. There are some dings and dents, but through and through a solid contest entry. Well done.
