The new installment of Doctors of the Church, featuring scenes from the crusades and the Great Schism.
Well, I'm sure he won't have trouble killing himself as a bird.
Lemme just make sure we're clear here. Bright ends up becoming the bird in the end, right?
So are we to assume that in this canon, the part of 963's documentation that says the amulet only transfers the host's consciousness to anthropoids doesn't apply?

I imagine that this will be extremely popular with users who hate the talking animals.
I am one such user.
I found this pretty hard to begin reading, as talking animals do nothing for me. I skimmed ahead and found humans, so I started over and fought through the beginning, and was disappointed to find that a war with these animals is a significant part of this canon.
I have really enjoyed this canon so far, so hopefully it's not a big part of it. -1.
I like talking animals when they're done well and originally. Beyond the fact that this story features talking animals, it's not just a rehash of the same sludge. It's done well.
I agree it is a solid piece, if a little long, and that it doesn't rehash anything. It's just personal preference on my part; I dislike talking animals as a storytelling device or component, and it instantly turns me off. In this case I found nothing to "turn me back on". I just think of anthropomorphized Disney animals.
I really am enjoying this canon overall so far though, despite the fact that although I OWN A Canticle for Liebowtz, I have yet to finish it. I look forward to more.
