As far as I can tell, you shouldn't need any background knowledge to get this beyond "there is a magical library". So uh, I guess I just didn't write things very clearly.

It is a good and interesting story, but what does it have to do with the Foundation? It's never even mentioned.

Not all Tales are obligated to have the Foundation in it. The multiverse does not revolve around it, after all.

And if you click the tags, you would realise that this is part of the Only Game in Town canon that features the Wanderer's Library.
