My main problem here is that this is just nigh-incomprehensible. If there's a story here, most readers won't sift through all of this just to find it.

I'd like to take a shot at a rewrite of this. I've messaged
DrSee for permission, and to start a dialogue on their concept; I believe the idea is viable, but some of the complex expressions aren't being properly translated (in addition to the incorrect formatting used). This is apparently fairly high rated on the CN wiki, and I'd hate to see a language barrier stop what could be a solid article here, too.
E: Do I have to post this on each of the supplement pages as well?
As an aside to the general public, if anyone with some capacity to translate Chinese would be interested in helping with this, I would greatly appreciate a PM.
EE: I have the raw edit text as well as the page sources copied from all six of these, and the author and translator from above have joined me in a sandbox.
SCP-3352 is a hardbound book, measuring 10cm by 25cm containing exactly 13 pages. When allowed to open by a human, SCP-3352 causes sudden and intense triskaidekaphobia1. This effect is instantaneous, and manifests first as explicit disgust of SCP-3352 itself. Afflicted individuals will begin to compulsively notice patterns relating to the number 13. Early affliction is specific to numerals, pictograms, and verbalization of the number 13, -18 and three staff votes.

It was decent, my only problem was the emptiness of it. The idea itself was decent but I think it could have been presented better. Is there anything to counteract it? Will amnestics stop it? Answering questions like these could improve it a whole lot.
rumetzen
I'm not feeling it. It didn't seem like the idea was explored in any sort of interesting direction beyond the surface level to me. Nothing really caught me and made me want to know more about this object or wonder what its story was.
Shaggydredlocks
I feel like this would be enough for me if it had a killer final line to induce a strong reaction, having it resurge indefinitely wasn't that interesting a note to end on.
magnadeus
well written, and an idea with potential, but this is just a less interesting SCP-999-JP, along with being not much more than a "thing that makes you go crazy."

i mean, i was moreso citing it as an example that the concept could have been done better than saying that this was a rip-off
i realize now that that is completely not what i said but that is what i meant
Doctor Cimmerian
You know as someone who has a particular affinity for the number 13 this one just didn't grab me. It's not interesting enough on its own to get by without a twist and there is no twist. That said this is the 13th comment and the thing is -13. That's gotta count for something.
The 1st Edition, Please be careful Please be careful For the last containment, be careful SCP-39481
Item #: SCP-3948 Object Class: Explained Special Containment Procedures: None Description: None, Actually, you shouldn’t be seeing these words. Maybe it’s because our last procedures did not fulfill its purpose. After all, was it…still breached. Ah, that was not a question, but a statement, -17 and three staff votes.
SCP-3904 is a Synthetic eyeball originally found in ██████, Ohio. This eyeball instantly severs the retina if viewed directly photos and videos are view-able, however.. The method of how the retina is severed is not well understood, but is believed to be at the molecular level. Dr. ███████ has developed several theorems on the occurrence of the severage, but none have been proven. The strangest quality of SCP-3904 is that blind subjects can restore their vision by standing within a twenty meter radius of SCP-3904 and temporarily see, even when leaving the area, -16 and three staff votes.
SCP-3392 is a fully grown instance of Ficus macrophylla of indeterminate age. Unlike other members of the family Moraceae, SCP-3392 develops fruit-shaped growths that consist primarily of calcium carbonate. This behavior has been observed to begin at the meteorological start of a year's Spring season. Once a growth reaches a circumference of roughly 80 centimeters, a random lifeform will hatch. Growth development and further hatching has been observed to last anywhere from 4 weeks to 5 months, -17 and three staff votes.

Wouldn't this make more sense as an —EX?

The concept definitely has merit, but there's a bunch of issues with it at the moment.
1) Punctuation and general grammar glitches. There's a lack of spaces after punctuation, especially after commas, which makes it weird to read. I've fixed some of them. Also, why is "Oak precessionary moth" capitalized?
2) Species names are always italicized in scientific writing, and this is a scientific document. There's also no need to put a "The" in every footnote.
3) The first paragraph of the containment procedures needs to be relocated— it obfuscates important information in the procedures.
4) Tone issues, such as "got into contact" are prevalent.
I want to upvote this, I really do, but after a reread, I have to no-vote. The idea that platypi were only discovered in 1996 (especially since they were historically hunted for their fur) and the Foundation managed to retroactively insert them into the historical record is just too absurd for me.
