So say hypothetically someone had connections to a popular TV channel and happened to like the SCP series and wanted to make a TV show out of it. Would this be cool (Y/N)?
Personally, I'm for it. Imagine, if you will:
The show would simply be called SCP, and each of the episodes would focus on a specific skip and would be named accordingly. Some episodes would be about Securing the SCP in the first place, taking place primarily with the agents involved with its capture. Others would be about Containing the SCP, and would focus on testing and attempting to de-mystify the already incredibly mysterious object. Still others would be about Protecting the Foundation from the SCP, and would be about security breaches with any given SCP.
I also think that the series would benefit from using the "arc word" concept most commonly used in Doctor Who (the most obvious example being Bad Wolf). Each episode would have some sort of reference to a group of interest, whether it be directly involved with the SCP of the day ("We've recieved intel that SCP-XXX has been linked to the Chaos Insurgency) or just a passing bit of dialogue ("-cking about with the Chaos Insurgency and-), culminating in a major incident involving the group as a whole in each season finale.
Most SCP are vague enough that they should be OK from copyright infringement, but the ones that are specific to an artistic piece would either involve contacting the artist for permission or simply not done.
So what do you guys think?
